A one man show at Conte's Fish Market. We went there early to try out the food and rustic atmosphere. Mr. Conte was front of house, the waiter and the chef, and had time to chat to us too. What a guy and he prepared fabulous food including home made Keylime pie for dessert. Highly recommend you try this place and tons of parking just behind. Really nice experience.

This is a fish market and a no frills restaurant to enjoy the absolute best hand picked catch ! Period It does not get any better.. so if you are looking for Fancy smancy.. kindly pass. But if you want to buy and or eat this family owned and operated establishments fresh seafood. They pull up a chair. And have a glass of wine. Say hi to Robbie ….

Such a great spot in mount Kisco! The food never disapppints. Friendly and family owned. Best lobster roll in town - perfect amount of lobster and soft potato bun. Salmon on Caesar salad also amazing and the baked clams are a must have!

I moved to the area 3 days ago and after doing a cursory look at Google Maps saw Conte’s 8 minutes from my new home. I thought this could become my go to spot for fresh fish. However, something was clearly fishy when I saw a rat enter the bush on the corner at the back. Upon entering the establishment on a Saturday at 6pm, I was greeted by a seated cantankerous gentlemen who clearly didn’t want a customer and should’ve told me he was closed. Not for nothing, Google says the place is open to 9pm but shame on me. At that point, I was accosted for not knowing who this man is, where I was and the history of his business. When he got testy, I decided to ask if his fish was brought in fresh or flash frozen. (It is well known that many local fisherman do flash freeze to preserve for freshness which is fine, otherwise, one would never be able to eat Pacific caught salmon and many other fish.)

I don’t think I’ve ever had an experience like the one I had at Conte’s. It was jarring and downright strange. 125 years of history and you would think the man running the place would show some degree of respect to a customer with kids outside who only wanted to cook them a meal. For what it’s worth, my 5 year old eats whole Sardines, head and tail. My wife is from Greece and we know fish.

The guy I encountered may be a very nice person to others, but I found him to be a colossal jerk. I’ll happily go down the road to Mt. Kisco Seafood...

What a cool and unique spot! On a LONG drive up north I stopped off of the highway to grab a quick bite for lunch (I'm a foodie and wanted something other than the typical fast food). The atmosphere is casual, comfortable, laid back and intimate, the owner was super friendly and inviting not to mention extremely knowledgeable on what fish to eat during what time of year (let him suggest a dish based on your preference). The food is simply prepared, fresh and delicious as well as extremely reasonable for Westchester prices. A must visit for lunch or dinner! I'll definitely be back...

Very disappointing experience. I went with my mom to get some lobsters. This place had lobsters that are about $32. We started with shrimp cocktail to share. We got 4 regular sized shrimp in a big bowl of ice: $14. The lobster I got looked great from the outside,, but when i Cracked open the legs, white liquid poured out, no meat. I then cracked open the tail and I got 2 cms of meat. The rest was all white liquid Thank God there was bread on the table. My mom got some meat in hers, but I left there hungry, disappointed and $140 pooer. Not...
