Visited this establishment on October 26 with a friend as we would always go every Wednesday and sometimes twice a week. When we got there the bartender told us the Miller lite was out and it would be a few minutes. 5 minutes went by and I asked her what was going on. Then 10 minutes went by, I told a guy that was just standing around talking to fellow employees that the Miller lite was out. He said that they were taking care of it. 20 Minutes go by and I offer to help that employee to train and show him how to tap a keg. He assures me that they are âtaking care of it.â After 40 minutes go by and our food arrived I asked who the manager was and that I want to talk to the owner. He showed me the female manager and I told her that we were waiting over 40 minutes for a beverage. She talked to the bartender and got her to finally tap it. Only a 50 minute wait to get a beer. I told the âmanagerâ that you do not punish your customers because the bartender did not know how to tap a keg. She ignored me and did not respond. I will never go back and be sure to tell others of this terrible customer service. The guy that was standing around later told us the bartender did not know how to tap a keg. I told him that you all need to work as a team and help each other out, that they were acting very unprofessional. I contacted Tony the manager about the situation the next day, after the conversation it was clear that he did not know how to handle...
Read moreMy wife and I went in friday afternoon and were impressed with their cleanliness. Sanitizer at the front door and also at every table. Staff were wearing masks and service was prompt. Angel was our server and offered great suggestions on food and drinks. Food tasted very good and the margarittas were terriffic. My fish fry had a thin crispy coating that let the fish flavor come through nicely and my wife's shrimp quesadillas were not wimpy and had very good flavor. Our waiter stopped several times to make sure everything was as we liked it. I was also impressed by the young man working to keep the floors spotless. The price for our meals was reasonable. I noticed another reviewer complained about the 3.5% credit card fee. I have eaten at several restaurants that now charge a "Covid" charge and don't give you the chance to pay cash to avoid it. That amounted to $1.30 for my bill. $0.00 if I paid cash. All these things restaurants have to do to keep their businesses safe for diners and employers add up to serious money. For me La Cabana does this...
Read moreLa cabana is typically one of our favorites and I was thoroughly disappointed tonight. Sat at the bar as usual and the bartenders didnât seem to care about customers (this is not the typical experience). Ordered a strawberry margarita and got a plain lime with a splash of strawberry at the bottom. They didnât ask us what size we wanted and we received larges. Our main reason for coming was for queso. We ordered queso fundido with chorizo and we received a solid block of cheese with burnt meat on top. When we brought this to the attention of the bartender, Jesus, he said we received what we ordered and if we were looking for a dip then we ordered the wrong thing and we would be charged again to get what we were asking for. We have ordered queso fundido at casa tequila (Hartford), su casa (Menomonee falls), and bel aire cantina (downer) and they have all been amazing and in dip form. Would have been completely fine if the bartender just fixed the problem but that was not the case. Next time I will choose the...
