This Starbucks is TRASH and discriminatory. My mom who speaks only a little bit of English ordered a black coffee and asked for a bit of milk on the side so she can control the amount of milk in the coffee. The female employee at the cashier charged my mom an extra 75 cents for the milk. My mom was confused with the extra charge and questioned it. The employee stated that they “sometimes” charge for milk. What is “sometimes”? What kind of Starbucks charges for a bit of regular milk on the side? Not even oat milk or soy milk or any other alternative milks that I understand would be charged extra for. My mom couldn’t argue against the employee because of her limited English and was so upset and felt she was taken advantage of because she couldn’t stand up for herself against this unfairness. I know Starbucks is not supposed to charge for milk on the side; what difference is it to ask for milk in the coffee vs on the side? They don’t charge for milk in the coffee so why would it be charged on the side. It’s not the minuscule extra charge that is the issue here; it’s the PRINCIPLE. My mom felt unwelcomed and mistreated by the employee because of her lack of English proficiency. CLEARLY something is off. This location needs to train its employees better and educate them about treating ALL customers fairly instead of...
Read moreHello, My wife and I come here every other day since we live on Garth. We’ve been loyal customers because you make amazing drinks and your place has always been accessible—especially important for people like us who are Deaf.
Unfortunately, today was not a great experience. I noticed several people ordering cups of water, so I approached the counter and asked for water too. I had our two puppies with me, and they were very hot. The staff member told me to order through the mobile app, but I pointed out that others were receiving water directly without using the app. What’s the difference?
I was really disappointed and upset. I told my wife, and she went inside to ask as well. Another staff member, who was busy making drinks, gave her the same response. A Black woman nearby heard the interaction but didn’t step in to help or clarify anything.
We understand how busy things can get—we’ve both worked in hectic environments before. But what truly hurt was seeing three of your staff laugh at us when we were trying to communicate and couldn’t fully understand them. That was disrespectful and deeply disappointing.
We’ve been coming here for years because we believed this was a place that welcomed everyone. I hope this situation leads to better understanding and change.
Sincerely, Rockia...
Read moreJust wanted to share a really negative experience at this Starbucks. Over the holidays 6 Giftcards we're purchased here. Out of the 6, 2 Giftcards once gifted to recipients came up as $0 balance for them. Both cards were supposed to be $50 each. It looked as though the pin code sticker was tampered with (gift recipient said).
So I returned to this Starbucks with my receipt to explain what happened and the response I got was that on their end, they sold it and charged us so it has nothing to do with them. I was told to just call the number on the back of the Giftcards. I filled out a report with Starbucks over the phone and have no idea if they'll do anything but I'm highly disappointed by how this Starbucks handled the situation. They seem to really not care since their store already took my money. I am also highly suspecting this Giftcard fraud could be a insiders job maybe someone working at the Starbucks took down the Giftcards numbers and pins beforehand? I don't know but be aware before buying...
