We had a great experience at One Rare. It was our first time visiting and we were able to walk in on a Wednesday evening. The place is massive inside so getting a table is probably easy even on the weekends. We were seated immediately and given a bread basket. It had a good variety but some of the bread seemed stale. We ordered some drinks which came out promptly. For apps, we tried the mozzarella carrozza. We called it a fancy grilled cheese - but it was delicious nonetheless. We followed it with a side of Cajun fries (great), the salmon (not as good as Eastchester fish market but decent) and the filet mignon with au poivre (the standout of the meal, 5/5 with the sauce). Finished up with some dessert, which was good but nothing out of the ordinary. Compared to some of the top steakhouses in NYC/Boston - it falls a little short. But it's nice to have a quality steakhouse nearby. We'd happily return to try out some of their other offerings.

One Rare is a beautiful, modern steakhouse in Scarsdale with a lively vibe - think upbeat house music mixed with classic steakhouse elegance. We went on a Friday with a 7:15 reservation; it was calm at first but filled up around 8pm. The food was mostly excellent. The bread came out soft and warm. The crab cake was a standout; meaty, lightly breaded, and paired perfectly with corn salsa. The wedge salad was solid, though the bacon leaned a bit too smoky for my taste. For the main, we shared the porterhouse for two, (easily shareable for three) cooked exactly as ordered with a flavorful crust and that buttery richness you hope for in a steakhouse. Dessert was the only miss with the blueberry cobbler cheesecake being a bit dry. Service was spectacular. Shoutout to Massimo, who made the night special for my friend’s birthday, truly memorable hospitality.

One Rare Steakhouse is truly exceptional. From the moment you walk in, the warm, welcoming vibe and professional staff set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. Service is quick yet never rushed, and the attention to detail—from perfectly curated lighting and music to the top-notch food quality—is outstanding. Our favorite waiter, Timmy, always makes our experience special. His attentiveness and thoughtful recommendations are always appreciated. He truly adds a personal touch that keeps us coming back. The atmosphere is classy yet inviting, with a great variety of food and wine and amazing people all around. Manager Gen ensures every visit feels like a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and his dedication shines through. This place feels like home with an elegant twist. A true gem!

Was surprised to hear another steak house opening in Westchester! I’m a red meat fan and am always up to try a new location. Made a late Thursday night reservation, they were very accommodating and upon arrival, to my surprise this place was still wall to wall with full tables. We were seated, and at first was a little upset with a brief wait between being seated and receiving menus, and having our water glasses filled. I voiced my concerns about the lack of service and it was immediately addressed, and rectified. From that moment on there were no issues with the service. We ordered a variety of appetizers , from tuna tartare which was very fresh, made a little different than what the norm usually is, but good! We then also had the fried calamari, which came with two dipping sauces that were pleasantly different and tasty, calamari was fried to a light brown, with just the perfect crunch to it, but the winning appetizer choice was the wagyu beef sliders , that were cooked to the perfect temperature, and had extremely excellent flavor. The dishes were cleared in a timely fashion, water glasses filled and attentiveness was on point, to my surprise after reading some reviews that had some not so great reviews about this particular part of the service. Which always leads me to believe you should always judge for yourself. For main course we ordered a tomahawk rib eye, a porterhouse for two, accompanied by loaded tater tots which were full of flavor and fried to a perfect golden brown, and sautéed mushrooms. Steaks were prepared to the perfect temperature, and not saturated in butter. Also not over seasoned and were served in a plate of their own juices. The rib eye tomahawk had just the right amount of fat, that gave it is perfect flavor, with perfect texture! Porterhouse was excellent! Gen, the manager sent us a complimentary desert platter, and after dinner drinks as well, which was surprising, because that’s not common for Westchester. Throughout the evening we were approached and checked up on by many different staff members checking in with us to be sure our service and experiences were up to par. This dining experience was very pleasant and gave us that upscale hipster city feel , with a touch of urban swag! Very pleased I have a neighborhood, ‘go to’ ,steak house without having to drive to the city or cross a bridge for a good piece of meat! Keep up the good work and stay consistent. We will...

Went for dinner last night. Wow.... all I have to say is, wow.

It was one of the best steakhouse experiences this little lady had had in a long time. Really great experience from all aspects of dining. From service to food to atmsohere all 5 stars!

Bartenders - definitely professional bartenders with actual mixology skills. Service, very professional and attentive. Atmosphere - beautiful. Dim lighting . Idividual lights on tables to read menu. Classy and modern. Subtle, but it is the perfect touch. Noise level- Acoustics were definitely thought of in the renovation / build of this place. The restaurant was busy last night, but I had zero issue hearing my friend talk to me during dinner, and I couldn't hear too much of what was going on around me. It was very nice.

Drinks:

Old fashioned and a Negroni

Both classic drinks, both made perfectly! It's rare to actually order these originals and them come out well.

Appetizers:

The slab cut bacon, the char was perfect. The smokey flavor is just delicious.

Lobster bisque, pretty good. It's a little heavy on the tomato for my liking, but it's still very tasty. I enjoyed it.

Sides:

Tater tots, I will never get tater tots again from any other place. The smokey bacon and cheese on top of these perfectly made tater tots accompanied our steak perfectly. Big win adding these to your dining experience!

Creamed spinach, tasty but overall nothing too special about it. But we all need our veggies!

The star! (Main Course):

Porterhouse steak, medium rare for 2. I'm a firm believer in not using any steak sauce or to ever disrespect a steak with ketchup. This steak justifies my beliefs all on the first bite. The cook and sear were absolutely perfect. The steak cut like butter. The taste... mind blown. Steak was juicy and just absolutely melted in your mouth. Seasoning perfect. Everything was just perfect.

We wanted to try the desserts, but sadly, we were too full to continue this dining adventure go around. We settled with a coffee with a shot of Baileys. Just a perfect little sweet end to the night.

I will definitely...

An amazing experience with my family. The ambiance was charming, it had that warm, clean and modern look to it. The hosts were so welcoming and professional, made you feel like you were part of the family the minute you walk through that door. The waiters were caring and graceful with everything they brought to you. Starting with the most simple fresh and warm bread variety with unique seasoned butter they start you off with. To the most delicious appetizers such as crisp calamari, mac & cheese (my personal favorite) that wasn’t dry, thank goodness and delicately and flavorful crafted cesar salad. They begin to bring the main courses, we got the steak for 2. Very tender, savory it sizzled until it got to my plate! It hits all your taste buds. At that point, you’re hooked! We get to my main dish, salmon! Now I’ve had salmon pretty much everywhere I’ve been, but this salmon, absolutely juicy! Can salmon even be described as juicy? Came with seasoned scalloped potatoes that hit the spot. My sister ordered shrimp scampi. Aside from how beautiful the plate was prepared, the risotto was creamy and shrimp was succulent. We also ordered the wild mushroom ravioli, that had a robust taste of classic truffle that first hits your tongue. Now it’s time for dessert, the waiter placed a delightful array of selection. We started with the blueberry lemon cheesecake, which had magic each spoonful you had, my entire family fought for that last spoonful. The key lime cheesecake sent your taste buds straight to the Bahamas! We also got freshly scooped gelato, I’ve never had peach flavored gelato but that’s officially my favorite! Don’t think I forgot about the cocktails, my pomegranate martini was absolutely elegant! Just the right amount of alcohol that gets you buzzed with the right amount of flavor of the fruit. You leave with your stomach full and your heart warmed by the amazing people that run and work the place. You will not regret enjoying this restaurant with...
