Moscato — Restaurant in Village of Scarsdale

Great food and delicious cocktails, but service was either incompetent or racist. Maybe both.

When we sat down, our server took drink orders from my 5 friends and ignored me. I figured he forgot. Then we ordered a bottle of wine to share, and he poured it for my 5 friends, and again left me out. When I asked him for my glass, he said the bottle was finished. He didn’t ask if I wanted a glass, but he did pour my friend next to me a second glass even though she still had her first drink. I was shocked. I was the person of color at the table - in fact the whole restaurant that night. I have lived in Scarsdale for years and never once felt uncomfortable or unwelcome in a restaurant because of my race. The manager and rest of the staff were very nice to me throughout, but our server left a terrible impression. The irony of it all was that we came here on Juneteenth.

The risotto, fish, fried artichoke, and tiramisu were all excellent. But the ostensible racism left a bitter...

Look at, I know people like good reviews but lead with the truth is more appropriate. The food was not what I'm used to. That said I'd like to know if it is a Southern Italian restaurant. I prefer Northern food. I won't return either. Also, definitely add ice to a ginger ale at room temp. I just wanted some pasta, what I got looked like egg soup with noodles and bacon. If it's Southern Italian then my mistake. If it's Northern, you need to kick it up a notch. Nice people but I'm paying for a service. If my Linguine Vongole tastes better than yours, I'm going to be upset. So good luck with the restaurant, and hopefully you find a way...

I have been meaning to post a review but haven’t had a chance to, Moscato Restaurant has the most exceptional menu and Service! I was out on date night with my hubby which is rare because we have two little ones. We were originally going to go to candlelight but it was overcrowded so we found Moscato on gps near by restaurants. Definitely well worth it to have a beautiful dinner. The portions of food was excellent, I had the Steak absolutely delicious with the candy apple martini 😋 🍸 The desserts we’re scrumptious. Everyone serving were so nice...
