Myself and my wife wanted to try a new restaurant for the first time. We always pass by and wondered how the experience would be. From the moment we walked in till the moment we left the service was below average. We were seated outside, nice seating area, the busboy came over took our water order. Then the server came over asked what kind of water we would like I told him the busboy took that order already, he was bland no personality. When he came to take our food order he was very robotic giving us the specials. My wife ordered the Branzino fish, the server said it can be served whole or filet. I ordered the farfalle with shrimp and a limoncello cream sauce. Before the food came we had a Malbec red by the glass, it was ok mediocre at best. From that time forward the service was unavailable and non existent, no one came around to ask if we were ok or needed anything. When they brought the food out the Runner brought out the whole Branzino fish and my wife asked nicely are they going to filet the fish. And with a very nasty reply the food runner says well the told me to bring out the fish to display it to you. Myself and my wife were in shock by this response. They brought out my dish of pasta before my wife’s dish I had to wait until they filet the fish and brought it out before I start to eat. They brought out the Branzino not asking if my wife would like fresh pepper we had to wait while she was 3/4 done with her meal before someone came around and asked for pepper. The reason for the stars I gave was because my wife liked her fish, my dish was diner food at best. The limoncello cream sauce was so liquidity lacking cream, the shrimp chopped in small pieces. Definitely not a good Italian restaurant presented dish. I will never return again, I’m sure the staff knew this was our first time dinning here, I can tell these servers and staff have been at this restaurant a very long time. They we’re extremely comfortable and non attentive. No one ever came around and asked how the food or drinks were the whole time we were there. They should have went a little further with the service to keep new customers returning. They fell short in a lot or areas of hospitality. For that reason is the low rating. The owner needs to be a little more on top of this staff to make customers feel welcome with a smile and a better personality...
Read moreIt's easy to walk out of a restaurant with a really good impression when everything has gone perfectly. Well made drinks, delicious food, friendly, attentive wait staff...everything pointed to that perfect meal. And then, well...stuff happens. My wife and I both had the Bolognese and after drinks, apps and bread we had a full portion left over between us, so we decided to take it home. We poured mine into my wife's bowl and the busboy brought it into the kitchen to wrap it up...still perfect. 30 seconds later Sammy ( the owner) came out to ask who had the Bolognese and why they didn't like it? We were happy to see the care he put into his product and assured him we both had the same dish, loved it and want to bring it home with us...and then came the the problem. Our food came out of the kitchen and it seemed to have lost 50% of it's volume. It was obviously smaller. My wife and I looked, lifted it up to confirm the problem. Then Sammy , who was still at our table picked it up, handed it to the waiter and told him to bring out a new, full portion to go. We were blown away! It's something that wait staff often do...fit the take home food to the container, not pick a container to fit all the food. And we didn't say a thing! Before this episode we liked Sapori, we now love it. Bravo...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Sapori. We chose to drink and dine at the bar, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with impeccable attention to detail in both the decor and service.
The staff was incredibly attentive without being intrusive, offering thoughtful recommendations and making us feel genuinely welcomed. Every dish was a masterpiece — beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The scallop special with risotto and mushrooms was a standout, perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection.
After our meal, we were offered two drinks on the house, so my husband ordered Limoncello. As I drank mine, my facial expression reflected that of a kid tasting a lemon for the first time. Before I knew it, I had another drink on the house because the Manager saw I didn’t enjoy it—even though I would’ve never made a fuss over a drink on the house.
The entire experience felt curated from start to finish, with each course timed perfectly. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to indulge in an unforgettable dining experience, Sapori is absolutely worth every penny.
I can’t wait to return — truly a...
