Pestos pizza — Restaurant in Vinton

Pesto Pizza was great the service was excellent the chef did a fantastic job cooking the food we ordered. My husband had for a Appetizer, calamari. My sister had Moncerella. Cheese sticks with marinara Sauce.. And I had deep fried mushrooms with ranch to dip. We all shared with each other all of the appetizers was delicious. Then the server brought out the food we ordered it looked so good and smelt so delicious. My husband ordered a collazone pizza it was really big he cut into it gave me a bite so delicious. My sister had gotten the 1/4 pound hamburger with French\Fries the works she took a bite it was so Juicy. It looked incredible delicious. Then I had steak and cheese deluxe sub sandwich what a big Portion of steak, onion, green, pepper cheese, Mayonnaise, mustard with french fries oh, it was so delicious. I give my hat off to the chef and the server they are partners trying to make a living with there family owned Business, if you're out and about in down town Vinton stop in you would definitely enjoy their food, their atmosphere, their service, they were kind and very sweet people. I am glad I stopped in today with my family and we had such a wonderful lunch and a wonderful time. Pesto Pizza in Vinton truly delivered a delightful experience, earning a solid four stars from me. The star of the show, without a doubt, was the crust. It was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and had that wonderful chewiness and flavor that immediately brought to mind the fantastic crusts from Mellow Mushroom – high praise indeed! Beyond the exceptional crust, I was thoroughly impressed by the pizza's construction. The thin makeup of the pizza allowed the flavors to really shine, and the astonishing amount of cheese was a true highlight. Every bite was gooey and rich, a cheese-lover's dream come true. The only reason I'm holding back a fifth star is that I felt the pizza could have been cooked just a little bit longer. A touch more crispness on the bottom would have perfected an already great pie. Was looking forward to trying the new place however it was very disappointing. Came for the lunch specials. One of them states on the menu and the handwritten board at the restaurant ANY sub however when we tried to order the cheesesteak was told we only had a choice of 2 subs. I forget what their names were but they were both cold cut type subs. Off to a bad start and the main reason for the 1 rating! 1st the good. Nice location, clean and nice looking inside. Waitress was nice but new and didn’t know the menu. Salad was great. Sub was nicely toasted and the fries were good. Food was hot and fast (of course we were the only ones there).
