The coffee cake is super delicious! We ordered the dirty chai at first but I don't think we like chai. There's a lot of spices in it. We went back a second time and ordered the dutch process mocha latte which is good! The chocolate flavor is strong. The pumpkin pepita banana bread is good.
The interior is a nice and calming and they have free wifi so a nice place to do some work while getting coffee or hanging out with friends
Edited 2/28/2022 We ordered the London Fog and the Toasted Cardamon latte for drinks. We got the coffee cake, apple muffin, and avocado toast too. The London fog is good, but nothing special. You can taste the earl grey so if you don't like earl grey, then this wouldn't be good for you. The toasted cardamon latte is definitely something I've never seen before. It has a toasty-nutty flavor, but it's good.
The food items took a longer while to come out, but it was Sunday morning and expected because of the morning rush. The coffee cake was okay this time. It definitely didn't taste as good as when we first got it. I'm assuming they changed the recipe to accommodate the raisins. I was super excited for the apple muffin because we literally could not get it for weeks because they were sold out of it. I was expecting small apple chunks in the muffin but there was none and there was no apple flavor. The cinnamon icing is okay. I was bewildered and I laughed when I opened the avocado toast. I initially thought the toast was missing an egg, but my husband corrected me and said that it was shaved egg yolk and not a whole egg (I clearly did not read the menu properly). The shaved egg yolk did not add any flavor at all to the toast because there were barely any on the toast. The pickled onions were nice and refreshing.
Overall it's...
Read moreWe decided to go to RND as a coffee date between me and my partner, something we do not do often due to many factors. While the food and drink was as great as the time we went to the location in Roanoke, the person taking our order that day, notably the only person working on Martin Luther King Day, decided that we were not individuals she wanted in her establishment. When my partner asked for flavors of coffee, she rudely told her to find them herself, despite my partner clearly having a hard time seeing. When I attempted to order my coffee, she told me my choice was incorrect, and that I should just get a drip coffee with flavor instead. When a date experience where we wanted to experience the beautiful snowfall in a calm and kind cafe environment, she made it clear that we, as newer customers, were not welcome, and I am quite disappointed in the overall experience of this location. If you have a choice, and do not mind the restricted parking, I implore anyone trying to decide between the two location to go to...
Read moreFantastic coffeeshop in Vinton - its sister location is in Wasena. The coffee is locally roasted and the owners are very community-focused. They've brought good third-wave coffee to the greater Roanoke area, and along with it pleasing aesthetics and quality service. The flavors are all handmade and the menu changes based on the season. You'll find fare that is a step above the typical coffeeshop, which hails from Quincy's (one of the co-founding brothers) fine dining background. This is a place worth going out of...
