Angelo's Italian Restaurant is located in the Booth Hill Shopping Center along General Booth Blvd. You can enter where the Wendy's is for visual reference. However, there is no traffic light at this intersection, so it can be a bit hectic to get in or out during peak times of travel. My most recent visit here was on February 15, 2023.
I hadn't been back for a while due to the experience I had in my first visit in 2017. Since that time, I have been back to this place several times. Things have definitely changed for the better since my first visit.
From the outside, when you come up to the place, it looks like a simple place on the outside. There are a few tables outside for seating as well, but it is pretty limited. It's not hard to see on the outside in the shopping center with the red and green colors.
When I came with my mom, it was an off peak time of day, so there wasn't anyone else seated when we came in. They said we could choose any table inside and that a server would be over shortly. As expected, that happened and she asked us what we wanted to drink. I went with water and my mom went with Coke, so they carry Coke products here. The menu has more options than when I first visited in 2017 as well.
After she came back with the drinks, she asked if we were ready to order and we were. I had ordered a Stromboli with Pepperoni and my mom ordered a Calzone with Pepperoni. While waiting for our orders to come out, our server brought us some bread and butter. The bread and butter were really good too. The bread was very soft. The butter packets were nearly frozen though, so it did take a bit of thawing of the butters,
About 7-10 minutes later, our entrées came out to the table. The only mistake was that they did both as calzones instead of one calzone and one Stromboli. I didn't bring it up since either one would still be good. The calzone was really good too. It was filled with lots of cheese and pepperoni. I ended up taking half of it home to have as a lunch the following day. After we were done, she did bring us a few boxes over and asked if we wanted any desserts. We declined as we were pretty full already and didn't need anything else.
Overall, this has been a much better experience than my very first one here. The food and service were on point. They have an expanded menu now compared to 2017, so it's great to have more options too. With great food and service on this visit, I will definitely be back more often now. You should come check them out too if you are...
Read moreThe experience my children and I had at Angelo's Italian Restaurant tonite was beyond exceptional. I've known Angelo for many years, and after 7 years since I last saw him and his family, I had the wonderful opportunity to dine at his restaurant. I'm giving my honest review without being biased, and I must say I have not one negative thing to add to this review truly. The customer service from Bailey was like she was apart of our family. Very pleasant and professional as well. The ambience is great for family, friends, and even business gatherings, if you"re looking for a place to relax and enjoy some really great Italian food. Now about the food... The Calamari was the best I've ever had, it was tender to bite, yet the breading was perfectly crispy and not at all heavy. The marinara sauce tasted homemade and fresh. The bread was so delicious and although it came with butter on the side, it didn't even need it because it was pillowy and moist on the inside. My 12 year old son ordered the Alfredo with chicken, and I was not insulted at all when he told me it was better than mine, I even make mine from scratch lol, he not only finished his plate but would've liked the sauce clean off the plate if I let him. My daughter had the Pescatore and her face lit up when she saw the pile of seafood that covered her plate, she's 14 and at this age there's not much that puts a smile on her face, and as a mom I scored big taking her here tonite, because she cleaned her plate out too lol! I had the Gamberetti al Limone, and the ingredients were fresh, the sauce was nice and delicate, the pasta was al dente, and the shrimp was perfectly cooked. We were satisfied with our meal that was well portioned for the price. Although we were nice and full after cleaning our plates, we couldn't resist ordering the Canolli"s, it was the perfect end to a perfect night, and my children and I had a great time. I told them next time I come, I'll have to ditch them and bring my husband back for date night, this may very well be our new spot! My advice to everyone, just try it, you won't be disappointed.
Good to see you again Angelo! Thank you to you and your staff!

We started with some very nice house wines
The menu is broad and is sure to have your favorites! Our group chose Stromboli, Pescatore, Veal Francese & Chicken Valentino! Table bread was a nice touch... interesting shapes and types.
The house side salad was fresh, a very light house Italian dressing and had an interesting presentation!
All of the entree meals were EXCELLENT! LARGE PORTIONS AND DELISIOSO!!!
ANGELO THE OWNER came out of the kitchen to introduce himself and check on our evening. He is a very nice man and loves his employees & and restaurant!
Finishing our meals, we tried several of the dessert offerings...Cannolis, Lemon Cake, Hazel Nut Crunch Cake, and a very special treat... a Neopolitan Style Ice Cream ball with a chocolate coating, sliced into quarters. Inside was the treat... Chocolate, PISTACHIO...did I say PISTACHIO!!! & Strawberry ice cream...smooth, creamy and YUMM!
With a mix of out of towners like us and some local regulars, the mood was fun, festive and loud...just like my dinner table growing up!
Give ANGELOS a try! You won't be...
