Another awesome birthday cake.
Every year for the last 15 years, I have ordered at least 1 ice cream birthday cake from Dunkin Doughnuts on Holland road (usually online) in addition to going there often for ice cream. Up until a few years ago, I always had wonderful cakes, service and ice cream. The last few years, the quality and service declined. My birthday cakes weren’t good. We wouldn’t even eat them they were almost stale. Early this year I dropped the ball and had to buy a -remade ice cream cake from the freezer. The employees couldn’t even write Happy Birthday on it for me. They told me I could buy icing from the grocery store.
I wasn’t going to order from Holland road again, however, my daughter asked for an ice cream cake and out of convenience I did. I ordered the cake online. Something came up that I had to move my daughter’s birthday party to a few days earlier than originally scheduled. I called Dunkin Doughnuts to see if it would be possible (completely understanding if it wasnt) to have the cake made for the next day. The person who answered the phone was professional and actually called the cake maker to see if she could come in to get my cake done for the next day. She said she would. This cake was absolutely beautiful. It was fresh and everything that a Baskin Robbins cake should be. They went above and beyond and for that I want to say Thank you. I’m really hoping that things are starting to change and customer service and quality of service is on the upswing again. I will definitely go back...
Read moreSadly, anytime my friend and I meet up here, it's never worth our time and I don't think we'll be returning (regarding both the Baskin-Robbins AND Dunkin Donuts aspect). On my last visit, the store was uncomfortably warm, the hot fudge was actually room temperature and chewy like peanut butter, what my friend wanted (between two different flavors) wasn't available, and our ice cream (though we were warned about half of the freezer having soft ice cream) was melted before we were anywhere near halfway done. I personally asked for a refund (which I received - so I thank those working there for that), and my friend chose to just throw hers out. On previous visits, I usually have to ask for my coffee to be re-made because my few requests weren't fulfilled, and once I actually had to have my coffee re-made more than once and received attitude for it after explaining that my requests were far from fulfilled. Hopefully, though, one day this Dunkin/ Baskin will get better and I'll be there, but until then, I'd recommend going anywhere else or to another Dunkin/...
Read moreJust got a doordash order, we ordered a Sunday kit and they were out of the stuff for the Sunday kit. Instead of just giving us two quartz of the ice cream they gave us one scoop of ice cream. The Sunday kit is $30 for two quartz of ice cream and three toppings so why they didn’t just give us the two quartz is beyond me, and when I called them twice both employees were unhelpful /: they didn’t even include the receipt in the bag. Also the milkshake I also got was not good lol Edit: they probably read the order as “Sunday kid’s” because they gave us a kids size Sunday lol, which is understandable. But they still could’ve offered a replacement when I called and I would’ve been happy to pick it up, but nah they just told me to get a refund from doordash /: Should’ve been better customer service since we spent almost $75 there and they’re the ones who made an easily fixable mistake. At least the doordash customer service...
