DOMOISHI Poké Bowl - Ramen - Wings - Boba Tea — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

Just a heads up to anyone ever thinking of eating at Domoishi on Kemps River…DON’T. Not only did they serve us bad chicken (like completely expired chicken so bad that the dog didn’t even want it) but when we spoke to them about a refund because it was inedible the manager Tina was absolutely rude and ignorant.

Tina proceeded to tell us that their systems were unable to process refunds, but she then told me that she had several customers try the same chicken and they were completely ok with the way it was cooked. When I mentioned we paid $14 for this bowl and were unable to eat it, she said “so sorry, order something else next time.” After mentioning her customer service was awful and that I would be writing reviews, she then said “you go ahead and do whatever you want, we will be just fine.”

When I tell you this chicken was inedible…it smelled like old rotten chicken, it literally disintegrated when it touched the tongue and it tasted foul to the point of spitting it out. My dog did not want to even eat it and everyone who knows my dog knows he LOVES human food!

The fact that they were unwilling to process a refund or even say “you know what, I’m sorry you were unsatisfied let me make it up to you” was beyond incomprehensible. What company is doing so well they can literally say “we will be just fine with your bad reviews?” In this current time?

Anyways, avoid Domoishi. Especially the kemps river location.

PS they are currently hiring so hopefully Tina’s job will be up for grabs...

I tried hard to give this place a chance. Ive gone twice a year apart. The first time was last year around the same time and I figured it was just really sub par because of covid. After todays visit that is clearly not the case.

Im going to ignore the service and the atmosphere as there is none of either. You order strictly from a kiosk. I got the same thing both times. Chicken Soyu ramen spicy. Pressed fake grilled chicken and...cold not quite boiled eggs...in a bland broth with a pinch of corn and sprouts... for $13. Ill pass.

I will say the chicken nuggets my son got on the second visit were quite good, but VERY expensive. Which seems to be a theme with 3 dollar bottled sodas, I might pay that for unlimited fountain but not a bottle.

I assumed they were going for a cheap fast niche. They missed. It was neither cheap or fast...and it definitely wasn't good.

There is absolutely not reason for this place to exist with a MUCH better MUCH higher quality place just...

Unfortunately, the food was inconsistent, and the customer service was abysmal. I placed an order and recommended my father place an order as well. When my father got home, he found out that his food was wrong. We called and were accused of placing the order on DoorDash. We did not, and then, when we tried to come to a resolution, I was hung up on by the manager named Kevin Ming. I cannot recommend this location as the food is inconsistent as I said before, and the service is poor. I was unable to get a refund over the phone because of their credit card processing system they say. I was then hung up on by Kevin Ming, and before that I was told that they did not care if I called or left a bad review. Obviously this location makes so much money they do not care about...
