While on business travel, wanted to try something different nearby my hotel. I picked up a few things to go to try. I grabbed a Carne Asada, 3 street tacos, and a guacamole dip.

Carne asada was very fatty with hardly any flavor. Rice was a little strange and soggy. However, the refried beans were ok. The guacamole salad that comes with the Carne Asada plate was good. It only has a small bit of guacamole but I appreciate the small hints of jalapeno in the salad. Not too much, and I would rate it a low medium. The side of tortillas that came with the Carne Asada were just ok and tastes store bought.

Guacamole dip is fantastic. It's an avocado salad with onions and tomatoes and huge chunks of avocado. Fantastic! Very very good. There is a lot of flavor here and can be used as a side instead of a dip. This isn't your typical guacamole where it's all mashed up, but the chunks of avocado were refreshing.

The street tacos were also great. I picked up three, one with carnitas, pollo asada, and pork pastor. The carnitas in one of the tacos has a grilled, crunchy taste to it and had good flavor. Pollo asada was ok as a filling, but the pork pastor was my favorite of the three. The pork pastor has spicy taste along with the sweet that comes from the pineapple. All the street tacos comes with cilantro and onion topping that you can add. If you're planning to take the street tacos to go, I would suggest eating these first as the tortilla will become soggy over time.

The included chips (not sure if they come normally or because I got the guacamole dip) were tasty and very crunchy. It didn't come too salty and had the right amount of flavor that you can eat them...

If i could give ZERO stars i would. Ordered a VIRGIN daiquiri for my child and when he drank it he said it tasted funny. We smelled and tasted it and it was full of DARK LIQUOR. When i called i had to yell and threaten her with police to get my money back. She acted as if it were no big deal and said she would give me just the money for the drink back. And then she said bring all the food back. THIS US DELUSIONAL!

BEFORE i ordered i ask the owner or manager what’s in the drink. She could not tell me one thing that was in any of them. So i ask is the paradise drink similar to a sunrise and she said yes. I get my drink and it’s some thick blue and red mix of straight sugar and cheap aristocrat. I tell her i don’t like it can i have something else or my money back. She offers to make a different drink but then starts speaking in Spanish. I see the people she is speaking to looking at me as she’s talking.

She proceeds to take the cup of liquor she poured to the back where she was out of sight, i guess to pour the juice. Who does this? I need to see EVERYTHING you’re doing! This already made me uncomfortable. But then i open it before even thinking about tasting it, and i see foam which i feel was spit.

Also ordered a Long Island which was FULL of nothing but bottom shelf aristocrat. My boyfriend did not drink it. I told him that she had to flip through a book to see how to make anything smh not even a real bartender.

Food mediocre at BEST. I repeated my order literally 5 times and everything was still completely WRONG. Worst Mexican place ever. Do...

The food was flavorful. I was overcharged. I specifically said I wanted the 3 tacos for $14. This is when she should have said it needs to be one kind if that's how they do it. When the waitress brought the check I politely showed her the discrepancy. She stated that it needed to be 3 of the same taco. I told her that's not what the menu said and also that I specifically said I wanted the 3 for $14. I told her if she fixed the amount, she could charge my card. She didn't fix the amount and ran my card anyway without telling me first. Any amount of money higher than the listed and agreed upon amount on the menu is theft. I spoke with 2 other employees and eventually they relented, voided the first bill and charged me a lower amount. It wasn't a large amount but the point shouldn't be that because its a low amount I should be okay with them taking my money. It's a shame because I would...

Im not sure who the people are reviewing this place but I think they may be family or work there. Im from Texas. Mex food is a big deal. This place was meh. Had no idea what sour cream sauce is. Ya know, for sour cream enchiladas? We asked the waiter if the kitchen could make it. All he said was no. I ended up ordering beef quesadillas. I was asked, ground beef or steak. Ground beef in a quesadilla? Never heard of that before. See pic for what I ended up with. Looks more like two tacos on their side. Thats not like any quesadilla I have ever had. No sour cream with it. No quacamole. Nada!. Taste was not good as spices were funky. Also ordered a regular margarita. Was basic in cheap bar marg mix. very disapointing. Definitely go to Jose Tequilla on Shore Drive for the best mexican food and margs so far. someone from this place needs to go as well to see what good food, drinks and service is like.
