My friend and I just came in the drive thru. We had two seperate orders. hers was mobile and mine I ordered in the drive-through at the order box. We both had coupons from our kids school for free happy meals and decided to redeem those today, as our kids were having a play date. We did drive together, but again had two separate orders and two separate like forms of payment I get up to the window and they say that they can’t redeem our coupons because they don’t have a way to verify that they were right since they weren’t filled out with the kids name. I went to hand her my coupon and she literally dropped it and it blew away and she said she wouldn’t be able to redeem it even if I had it but then now she definitely couldn’t give me my coupon. My girlfriend and I have seven kids between us so we had a couple more of the coupons from the most recent school event, and the drive-through lady -who is also the manager -made a comment that you have plenty more so you’ll be fine. She accused us of faking them and creating them our self. I ended up asking for a refund and they left inside for about five or six minutes with my debit card so I’m hoping that my information wasn’t stolen but seeing by the treatment, I highly doubt that it wasn’t. Overall, it was very embarrassing and it should not have been anything like that as they were just coupons for a free happy meal. It wasn’t like we were scamming them out of money. We will not be back, And it was very disheartening to be treated like a criminal when we were literally just two moms with Kids trying to get them lunch with coupons they earned at school. Not to mention it really bummed the kids out because they had been excited to use these coupons and then they didn’t get to. I did end up getting a refund and went over to Chick-fil-A. I will also be contacting corporate, and my girlfriend has as well as this is very embarrassing and something that should never have happened in the first place. the fact that this happened at Manager level is astounding.
So if your kids earned free happy meal coupons at school, please understand they will...
Read moreFriday, 9/20/24: So, I used to enjoy coming to this McDonald's. After today, I will "NEVER" come to this location again. TJ should not be a shift manager! He is extremely rude, unprofessional, childish, and antagonistic. I could understand the way I was treatedted if I was rude or an obnoxious/irate customer; but if you are speaking to people calmly and respectfullythen you should be treated the same way.
I wanted breakfast for my lunch, so I placed my order through the McDonald's app (this was my first time using the app). I did go to the store 45 minutes later to pick up my order (on my lunch break).
I went into the store and looked on the shelf to see if my order was there. Nothing was on the shelf. When I did not see my order on the shelf, I went up to the counter and saw TJ and another manager talking. The name of this manager is unknown due to him not wearing a name tag, but he should also be demoted. They helped the other patron, who was waiting for their order and completely ignored me. Then they helped another gentleman who came in to pick up his order. After about 5 minutes of me waiting for them to finally acknowledge my presence, the unknown manager asked me what I was waiting for. I told him I placed an order online, and I did not see it on the shelf. He asked me for my code, I informed him it was my first time using the app, and I did not know how to get it. (This was the only time he was helpful, before he started to try to gaslight me.) He told me how to pull up the code, I showed him the code and then he went to the back. After he came back from behind the wall, he then wanted to tell me that breakfast was over for 30 minutes. I told him I placed the order before they switched over to lunch. I then showed him my receipt with the time stamp. He then wanted to tell me that the food would have beens throw away food that is not picked up after 30 minutes due to...
Read moreUpdate: We went through the drive thru at the Haygood McDonald’s to pick up an order we placed and paid for on the app. Only two cars in line ahead of us and it was a 30 minute wait. The employees were incompetent. They didn’t greet us properly, just opened the window and said, “you already paid someone?” Slammed the window shut, then after a few minutes, opened the window and tried to hand us a little, melting, dripping, ice cream cone. After a few more minutes, she came back, scratching her head with her long fake fingernails and handed us a bag. Burgers, fries and an apple pie were all cold and hard. The burgers had so much mustard, it was oozing out. Everything went in the trash. None of it was edible. I understand they are short staffed but employees still need to have some composure and care. They knew they were giving out cold, hard nasty food. Plus the fry oil needs to be changed. I doubt the girls working last night could do that. The fries smelled foul from the old fry oil.
Previous review: McDonalds Haygood food and service can be Hit or Miss. This day was a hit! The ice cream machine was working, I was greeted as I entered the restaurant, served immediately. I have had really terrible service most visits and the occasional excellent service, like today! The drive thru line is always long and slow. When we go inside and order at the counter we seem invisible as employees keep their backs to the counter and pretend we aren’t there. Best service occurs when we order on the App and go...
