One of my worst experiences at McD's. I went thru the drive thru and ordered a 1/4 pounder and a big mac from the 2 for 5 menu and a large fry. Got my food and headed home. When i opened the bag to sit and eat i have a 1/4 pounder, large fry, and NUGGETS. I check my receipt and it was correct but my food was wrong. So i drove back went in the drive thru again (was 30F outside) explained the mix up, and simply asked for the correct order and even brought the old food with me to trade out. The man on the telecom didnt even put my order in or tell the 2nd window so i pull up and had to repeat the order 3xs to the window man. Who yelled it to the back as a remake 3xs. He steps away and someone else hands me my bag and i drive off again. Get home, open the bag and i had a 1/4 pounder, large fry, and NUGGETS AGAIN! This time i return and go inside. Standing in the lobby holding the bags of food (they never took the first bag back) and my receipt in hand. A manager (call him M1) at the front counter playing with the monitors ignored me for almost 10-15 minutes. Despite me looking him directly in the eyes, he never aknowledged me if asked if there was an issue. After several minutes a crew member realized something was wrong and took care of me and brought a 2nd manager (call him M2) out to take care of me. After 2 attempts to make my food and wasting gas i wanted a refund at this point. The manager refunded the money but than turned around and walked away. No apologies, no offer for hot fresh food, nothing. And as hes walking away a customer walks in behind me to order and without a moments notice and no hesitation M1 looks at him and asks how he can help him... yet i was ignored by this man the entire time i was in the lobby. At this point im just furious. Until this point i was polite, calm, and keeping my cool. But to be treated this was pi**ed me off. So i wait there until someone realizes im still there (M2 noticed) asks if i need something else. At this point i want my meal, hot and fresh and asap. He took care of me, no questions asked and no comments about the service.
Literally one of the worst experiences ive had in a McD's i would suggest everyone going here check and double check their orders before driving off for accuracy.
No guest shouuld be ignored the way i was, and after multiple attempts to get my food right it should at least be offered to be taken care of properly.
As a manager in several other restaurants in my life i would never treat a guest like this. 1st mistake, fix it, 2nd mistake fix it and offer a credit or comp'd meal, keep the guest happy as best you can and admit when you mess up and take care...
Read moreMy family of 3 and I waited 40, Yes! 40 minutes for food while the drive thru orders ONLY were filled. No one looked at the door when we walked in let alone greeted us. So we spoke loudly asking for help. Placed an order at the counter, the kiosk was having issues then we waited 20 minutes. Watching cars come in and out of the drive thru, and still no food, we asked about our order, having to speak up loudly to be heard, everyone was in the back, they were ignoring the counter entirely and so we waited, the whole dining rm waited and waited. By the time 40 minutes came around, I went back to ask what was taking so long with our order, stating to Michael the Manager that I watched several cars go thru the drive thru as we. . .you guessed it! Waited . The manager Michael (in an arm sling), immediately gets an attitude and starts yelling his excuses at me, while giving me threatening looks, he said they were understaffed and it was the General Manager's fault and I had to wait, he yelled, as he flung his arm in the air showing me his sling, like I was blind, with the most rude and disrespectful tone and attitude I've ever experienced at restaurant in my life. Now, I was upset with him, I should not have to experience such unprofessional behavior. I worked retail/service industry for 20yrs, not to mention I'm a disabled veteran, and I've never treated a patron the way my familywas treated. Yes my son got to witness all of this. People piled up in the dining Rm, you'd think we were in ChickfilA, your place could never come close to success in professionalism and customer service as ChickfilA with Michael working there. He still yelled as we walked outside. Didnt apologize to us or dinning rm for wait or yelling. Just would you like some attitude with that today! He doesnt represent your Co. well at all. His behavior is going to cost you. Plenty other places we can get food AND be treated with kindness and respect. Definitely not worth the verbal...
Read moreWe stopped here yesterday and came inside to eat with our three toddlers which is something we rarely do all together as a family but the air conditioning in our car stopped working unexpectedly shortly before getting there so the only option was to eat in the lobby obviously. The manager Dwayne immediately offered to help me at the register and take my order before I even made it to the kiosk which was very nice I've never had that happen ever when I go into a McDonald's by myself to order. Kids and their dad were all sitting at a table though so I thought that was extremely helpful. Then he was very polite he had no problem at all and even offered to split one of the McFlurries up into three cups small cups to give the kids when I asked to get three of their smallest cups which I had planned to split it up myself after ordering. Again just kindly offering to go above and beyond. I couldn't believe it. This was hands down the best customer service experience I've ever had at any McDonald's. I was very impressed. The food was also very good and we got it very quickly he brought it to us at the table as well. With the heat and everything I almost forgot to leave a review as I intended getting his name before leaving yesterday so I'm so glad I remembered today. Whenever I have a very good experience somewhere it's really important to me to leave a review to help others have good experiences as well because sadly I often have a lot more poor experiences with customer service then good ones nowadays regardless of wherever I'm going. But also like to leave reviews for really bad experiences because we're all helping each other out by doing it so if you were going to go to McDonald's honestly in Virginia Beach or close to there even if you have to drive a little further I would recommend going here especially if he's on duty.
