Okay I’m going to be brutally honest because I’m disappointed. Bad things first, $30 for chicken & shrimp hibachi dinner which is fine:.. but normally hibachi portions are so large you’re leaving with a ton of left overs. Shogun did not provide that which was kind of annoying tbh for a few reasons which I’ll cover here. The staff was friendly but I thought it was odd the way the portions were handled at the table we were at. It was just my girl friend and I (at one end of the table) and we were sat with a family of 7 (which included 3 younger teen boys on the opposite end of the table). Each time the portions were given out, it started which the young boys. Which I understand.. their growing boys, but that also left the smallest portions for the two females on the end. When rice was given out, after the first round there was left over so the chef went around again but everyone got an extra scoop except us which ended up with about 1/4 scoop each. We were 2 of the 3 people that ordered shrimp at our table… yet every single person got 2 shrimp on their plate, so cool maybe some tasting for what you didn’t order right? NOPE…steak was prepared for other guests at our table but we were not offered a taste of that. Chicken was prepared at our table and after portions were served.. of course starting on the other end of the table first… we ended up with less than what I would guess was 4 oz of chicken for each of us. Which is just disappointing after waiting for everything to be cooked and given out and you’re left with the littlest bit. Why not alternate which side of the table you start with so people aren’t jipped being on the end? It felt a bit rude. We also ordered the deep fried gyoza which tasted ok but was not a huge fan of the deep fried option and prefer pan seared. Good news? The food tasted good. Won’t be back to this location though, felt...
Read moreI know this sounds dramatic but this was seriously the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Zero stars. I came in to grab dinner to go earlier this evening. I order a hibachi meal and a really simple sushi roll. I tell the hostess I only want shrimp tempura, cream cheese, and salmon only. I reiterate this as I place the order saying I know it’s very plain, and she says okay that’s fine. She tells me it will be an hour wait, so I leave & come back to pick up my order. The hostess calls to verify I’m willing to pay extra for the salmon making it $15 a roll. I say that’s fine, no problem. I ordered 3 total making it $45 for the sushi plus my other meal making it about $100 total. I come back to pick up, bring my sushi back across the street to where I’m eating & realize they’ve put avocado & cucumber on my sushi. So I walk back and the hostess tells me that there is nothing they can do because “their” tempura comes with these things automatically. I emphasize I specifically said I only wanted these 3 things, and even watch the other hostess write it down. She again says they will not remake it & they will not refund me. So due to THEIR mistake that they could not admit to, I wasted $45 and was told too bad.
I come back a few minutes later with my husband to see if he can get them to budge, and the manager says the best they can do is give us $20. Not even half of the total of the messed up order. I have never seen a restaurant dig their heels in like this and doesn’t at least attempt to resolve an issue, until 2 different people lay out the fact that this is the restaurant’s mistake. Scammy, rude, & a bummer that this is how they treat their customers. Don’t support places that treat people like this & don’t have any regard for people’s hard...
Read moreWell.....I have never been to a Hibachi restaurant before and let me tell you, the experience was great until one of our couples that we went with were screwed over on their final check. Their initial bill was $163, gratuity included (the restaurant adds a 18% service charge to the bill) . Once the card was swiped they swiped it for $192 as the total. He asked why the bill is now different from the initial bill and they stated that Sake is $22 a pop. The online menu stated it was $11 and he ordered two, making it $22. However, they charged him $44 instead. We asked to speak with a manager and instead they sent the hostess. The hostess was nervous and you could tell she was just fishing for things to justify the cost. Again, we stated that the online menu stated $11 per large Sake. The menu in the restaurant didn't even list a price. Long story short, the hostess tried to justify that their Sake is of high quality and due to COVID the price increased. She hastily explained this to us and just walked away. The patron then asked to speak with a manager again and the same hostess returned. I then asked to have this credited back to him and she returned with a $20 bill from her own money. We did not accept this bill because it really wasn't her fault. The manager finally came out after we stood our ground and still did not take care of this issue. Their customer service is horrible. Their waitress is obviously shady. Overall, it would have been a great experience if they didn't screw one of our couples over. Definitely will not return and all the bad reviews about this place seem to deal with customer service issues.....do what is right for the customer if you made a mistake.....BUT I DID CATCH THE SHRIMP WITH...
