I had been looking online for an amethyst ring for my daughter's sweet 16 birthday gift. I came across this shop online and I really liked their website, the photos and the descriptions of their jewelry. However, I was hesitant to buy a ring because my daughter's hands are small and I wasn't quite sure of her finger size, and didn't know what size of ring she would like. Plus, I still like to touch and see things in person, especially jewelry, when I want to make a purchase. So we took a hour and a half drive out to VA Beach to look at their rings. We were so pleasantly surprised that the rings online looked exactly the same as in the store. They were all just as beautiful and very well made. In fact their description online didn't even come close to how pretty they were in actuallity. My daughter picked out a ring that I felt was to fragile for an everyday ring. (She was looking at the cost, instead of the ring itself, I know. Trying not to go overboard. 🥰🥰) The owner of the shop, (Russell I believe, I am so bad with names and I am sorry if I got it wrong), very nicely explained to her that it was a delicate 2 prong setting and wouldn't hold up as well as the other ring I had her to look at as well. This was a big help to me since we all know mom's don't know much at all, and a knowledgeable person teens will normally listen to at times. She decided on another ring made in Naples that was dainty, but not fragile. While her, and her entourage of friends, were looking at blown glass animals, a slug of all things, my wife and I had noticed a pendant to go with her ring. So on the sly we bought it as well. Russell, I sure hope I have the correct name, discreetly wrapped up the pendant in a box with a tiny bow in which I didn't realize until I pulled it out of the bag at dinner time to give to her. A lovely surprise. I had been busy looking at the beautiful jewelry that was surrounding me. I was in jewelry and blown glass paradise! Everything inside the store was top quality and priced appropriately. Not to mention they had some pieces on sale, and the prices of these items, I am sure, were nearly at cost to them. This great shopping experience wasn't just about the jewelry, it was just as much about the store owner, Russell's, wonderful customer service! He was so personable and endearing. It was a welcome change in today's society where no one really will help you anymore. This is coming from a person who worked nearly 20 years in retail from the age of 17, and the last 15 years of that was in retail management. Then the remaining 16 years of my career I still was a service provider with Bell Atlantic/Verizon. So when I say he was "wonderful" it is a major compliment, as he was really a wonderful and welcome change! He wasn't pushy, he listened to what my daughter wanted in a ring, he listed the pros and the cons and told us about the ring designer and their reputation, and how many years they had been selling their jewelry. It really helped her, and us, to make an informed purchase knowing that with proper care her ring will last for years to come. A reminder of her special Sweet 16 birthday. If you are searching for a nice piece of jewelry that won't break the bank, but still has a nice quality to it I highly recommend BeJeweled. You cannot go wrong buying online with them as well. He was so kind and helped me find just what I was looking for. He boxed, wrapped and helped me bag when I picked out cute Lil bags to put my gifts in. And that was after taking the time to thoroughly polish each piece. Offered me water as well which was gratefully taken bc this hot weather is not for the weak!
