I went to eat here today in memory of my grandma, who I hate here with a lot and who passed overnight last night. I live across town. I checked Google for the hours and it said they open at 9:30, so I drove over and got there about 9:15 or so only to discover the hours on the door said 10. I messaged them on Facebook on the off chance they might see it and clear it up for me, because I had a toddler in tow and if I knew it would be another 45 mins instead of 15, I would leave and come back later. They messaged me back very soon after and clarified it was 10, and apologized for the inconvenience. I went to kill time elsewhere. I hopped onto Google maps to suggest a time change, and found that they had already corrected the time! Like within 10 minutes of our conversation! All based on my experience, which doesn’t feel like it was in vain anymore. I LOVE that. Mistakes happen, and what you do with them is what matters most. They immediately corrected the problem so it doesn’t happen to anyone else. I love this place. The food is always great and HOT when it’s a hot dish. The people are lovely. The atmosphere inside is so enjoyable. There’s a reason my grandma and I came here so much. Towards the end of her life, she wouldn’t eat much, but she always ate a SURPRISING amount of food from Basilico. It’s that good. I’m glad this place is in my community. They really made me feel like my time matters and is valuable today, and I really...
Read moreBasiilico is a fabulous place if you are looking for good food and a cozy atmosphere. I would like to share a recent experience I had and how the professional staff went above and beyond, I placed an order for take out which included a cup of lobster bisque(absolutely divine) with a roll and a cobb salad with grilled chicken. Upon returning home I was displeased to find no roll accompaning my soup and no chicken in my salad. I called and the response I received was unreal. Kayla the assistant manager answered the phone and could not have been more polite, considerate and apologetic. I mentioned my situation and how I was in no way traveling back to get a refund or a new salad. Kayla then said she would transfer my phone call to Melvin the manager and he not only offered to replace my entire order but also he personally drove to my house to deliver the new food. I was astounded in the professional way my concerns and disappointment were approached but also I really felt that Kayla and Melvin really cared and wanted to do whatever they could to fix the situation. The food alone is delectable and the desserts are worth every savory bite but the staff especially Kayla and Melvin made a lifetime...
Read moreWe've been to Basilicos a number of times but this new location is much closer. High ceilings, two rooms so we were able to seat large parties in the second room. The menu offers a broad selection of salads, paninis or sandwiches, subs, pizza and entrees, from NY corned beef to baked ziti. The salads are excellent, very fresh assortment of greens. The citrus salad was made with fresh oranges, not canned mandarins, with a lovely light citrus dressing. Greek salad with salmon was delicious with a nice portion of fresh fish. The chicken caprese panini was delicious, with tomato and pesto and mozzarella. The Reuben was pronounced good not great. Lasagna delicious according to brother, and chicken parmigiana was very good, though hubby declared my sauce to be better! The highlights, no doubt, are the desserts, pastries or gelati. Italian specialties like sfogliatelle, cannolis, tiramisu, and NY cheesecakes, coconut cream cake which mother-in-law devoured. The gelati were creamy and rich, delish! Tables are not crowded together and there's not a lot of ambient noise, so easy to have conversations. Very pleasant casual...
