China Ocean — Restaurant in Virginia

The place was dead. Not busy in the slightest. It took them a long time to cook our food. Now it's not a good sign that there was a deep freezer box in the lobby. Pretty sure our food was cooked from frozen. The chicken was very salty like it was from a can and not much flavor other than that. It was very hot inside, it is summer after all so I don't hold that against them too much but I do not recommend dining in. It is sad because it feels like there is someone here that really believes in this restaurant but they may not have been there when we were. The broccoli was perfect tho. We finished that. Me and my wife just recently moved from New York and we were looking for a good Chinese restaurant to eat at. We were recommended by the delivery driver that works there to try China Ocean and absolutely loved it. Vegetables were fresh. Meat was fresh (and real despite popular stereotypes on Chinese food). Not to mention they are very flexible with accommodating special requests since my wife has certain food allergies. Food stayed hot for almost an hour and was still tasty. We've definitely decided to make this or home Chinese restaurant of choice and would definitely recommend...

Running errands today and had a hankering for egg foo young. This place has great reviews so I came here. If I were doing take out, my review would be 5 stars because I’d only be rating the food…which is really good and generous portions. However, taking off 1 star because it’s 89 degrees outside and the AC is off and the door is open. Also taking off a star because this place is confusing. I had to stop in the doorway to figure what the heck was going on with the configuration of the furniture and junk setting around. I’m attaching a photo. Recommend...
