Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Virginia

The service was poor. They were out of the featured blizzard as well as chocolate ice cream and though I was very polite about it the cashier was incredibly rude to me when I was trying to figure out a third choice trying to rush me and getting frustrated as I looked at the menu. Sorry, it's not my fault you are out of my first and second choices. And no chocolate powder added to vanilla ice cream is not the same as chocolate ice cream.

When we went to sit down the wooden animal napkin holder (which they have standard metal ones, so why are those there?) was caked in dust and what appeared to be melted crusty ice cream. Not charming.

When I attempted to take the survey on the receipt it said, "invalid" after triple checking the number I figured they just didn't want input. After all, the numbers the input survey info started with 123456... sooo....

Not particularly impressed.

Also, I I know a bunch of people in this area are very religious, but a business isn't really the place to have GIANT posters about how "The Kingdom of God is Like Dairy Queen" like seriously?! When you walk in the door there's big framed Ten Commandments and In God We Trust posters. WE GET IT. But you're a business that serves food and ice cream. Do you really need that posted all over the place? I'll drive to the other one from now on where they don't need to plaster God everywhere and are actually...

Went through the drive thru for late lunch. I was shocked at how expensive it was & how long it took. Then I received my change, food & receipt & was able to figure it out. First, I was charged $1.67 for a cup of water. There was no notice of the charge when I asked for water. That would have been reason enough to never return, but that was just the beginning! The cheese curds were way overcooked - most of them were blown out in more than one place & had only half of the cheese remaining & a bunch of empty space. The rotisserie chicken nuggets were awful! The first one I popped in my mouth & bit down on, I had to spit out because there was so much gristle in it. Same with the second one. After that, I took the time to inspect & remove the nasty parts before trying to eat them. Several of the actual pieces of chicken were extremely tough. This is, by far, the worst Dairy Queen I've ever been to. Everything, from food all over the floor, to flies landing on me in line, to cold food that had been either overcooked or left under lights too long to a burger that had nothing on it. The cashier wasn't personable and almost cried when I was asking questions about getting sauces for my chicken strips. $25 for terrible food and a terrible experience. I ordered inside "to go". I live 30 minutes away and was eating as we drove or I would have gone back in. I will definitely call once I'm back in service. Exit 14 is much, much better!!
