The front-line staff are fine, although after visiting DD in many states, it's obvious they don't invest in customer service training, and have no consistent standards when speaking to the customer through the drive through, asking the customer to wait (which is almost every time, as they seem to have 1 or 2 people working all the time. Huge difference with Starbuck sand Chik-fil-a, for example. Anyhow, that's not the basis of my complaint and 2-star rating, as that's a corporate culture issue, and not specific to this store.
Now, to my complaint...The person responsible for managing inventory and ordering products is not cutting it. This store is ALWAYS out of at least one item. For two WEEKS, this store hasn't had French Vanilla flavoring, and today they were also out of almond milk.
I'm fully aware of this first-world problem not really amounting to anything at all, in the grand scheme, but after hearing this store is out of something every single time I visit, I decided it was time to rate it.
One more, while I'm at it. Along the same lines as the lack of corporate customer service, there's no real-time, or apparently even 2-week delayed, communication between the store and the app. I only order via the mobile app, so I never know until I pull up to the drive-thru that they're out of an item, unlike Starbucks, which doesn't allow you to even order an item because the app says it's not available at that particular location.
Ok, that's the end of my DD rant, and I must say the only reason I go and to DD is because of the $2 drinks between 2-6 every day. When that promo is over, I honestly don't think I'll continue going to DD.

After standing up front a few minutes the one at the table finally came up said nothing to me so I asked for a dozen donuts. After I paid he grabbed a random box on the counter and handed them to me. When I asked am I not able to select the donuts I want anymore he gave me an attitude because I touched the box of who knows what was in it because I didn't ask for a random box hidden behind the counter. Finally after some attitudeand me saying if I can't select my donuts I want my money back he finally grabbed an empty box and started getting what I asked for somewhat. I was asking for the creme filled donuts blueberry and others that I never had issues getting before and kept getting told they're speciality donuts and I couldn't get which is ridiculous since a dozen donuts is now almost 16 bucks. Ended up with a dozen donuts of nothing but chocolate icing and chocolate with sprinkles. Read moreCheck your Sunday morning schedule! Whatever lady was working the drive through was awful and needs to be fired immediately. I asked kindly if I could order one $6 bundle meal and she laughed/snickered and didn’t respond. Awkward silence. Then says “We ain’t got no hashbrowns” rudely. I kindly said “Ok… can I just get two maple bacon sandwiches?” — she snaps back “pull up”. I said “uh.. sorry is there a total?” She says “Uh!! Yeah it’s coming!!”. Proceeded to give the total and I pulled up. Saw her looking through the drive through window shaking her head at the line waiting. We waited so long with one truck not moving in the line for over 10 minutes that we ended up just driving off. Horrible service. I get you’re a little busy and you clearly despise your job.. but don’t take it out on kind people who did nothing to you. Take a breath and do better. I work in a restaurant as a solo server and it’s much busier than this location ever gets but I handle it fine as well as the rest of my team. Check yourself.
