Dyfre’s Burger — Restaurant in Virginia

I think this place has potential to be better. I’d like to leave some feedback here: Place looks nice, but at first you think you need to order from the cashier but later I found out you can sit upstairs and a waitress would take your order. About the steps to go upstairs: no sign to tell the customers there’s another floor. The door that leads to the second floor has a sign that says “neutral gender restroom “. I had to ask someone if there was a way to go upstairs. The place has like a take out/restaurant environment, but waitresses are not pretty aware if someone wants to order to take out or sit down to eat in the place. We probably went in a busy time (Sunday 4pm), but the food took almost 30 min to be prepared. We ordered some water but our waitress never informed us they charge the bottle of water (mind you, it’s a glass “Tuscan spring water”), we don’t mind paying it if they let us know about it. In this country we are used to get water for free, so the fact we didn’t know it wasn’t free was a little frustrated. Food was good but we are still missing the Colombian flavor. We ordered hot dogs and they were okay. We felt like eating a gourmet hot dog haha, to be honest we missed the potato chips, the sauces, the quail eggs. Not very Colombian taste. The checkout experience was pretty uncomfortable: you ask your check, the waitress comes with a screen, tells you the total, and you pay right away in front of here. You don’t get a receipt, you can’t check what they are charging you comfortably speaking because the waitress is right there in top of you. Even more uncomfortable to tip. You guys should provide a receipt and come to collect it once you already processed the payment. Place is small but has a good atmosphere, it should have more seats for kids tho.

The cooking here needs improvement. Maybe I visited on an off day, but things were not cooked correctly.

We started with the cheese fries, which sounded delicious from the menu descriptions. The fries were limp and soggy instead of crisp. They had no seasoning. And instead of cheese, they were topped with cheese sauce, like the gloopy stuff you get with ball park nachos. The best part of the cheese fries was everything other than the cheese and the fries. The steak pieces were flavorful, and was the Pico de Gallo. But those aren't enough to make me order this again.

We had two hamburgers. We ordered both medium. Both were well done. A hamburger restaurant must know how to cook its burgers properly if it wants to be any good.

The burgers did have a nice charred crust on them. Other than that, they lacked flavor. This restaurant needs to learn to season food. The buns were good, as were the toppings. But they weren't enough to make up for an improperly cooked, unseasonrd burger.

We ordered onion rings with one burger. They were limp and soggy like the fries. After crisping them up in the air fryer at home, they were much better. I'm not sure why I should pay a restaurant to cook food that I have to recook.

We also ordered a side salad. I can highly recommend the side salad. Sad that this was the best food we had here.

What a gem! I had such an awesome time at Dyfres Restaurant—this place is a whole experience!

First off, the restaurant is super clean and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. From the moment I walked in, I felt good energy all around. They have a great variety of food choices (Colombian flavor on point!), and everything I tried was delicious.

The vibe? Amazing. The music keeps the mood lively, and the whole place has a fun, upbeat atmosphere that’s perfect whether you’re going for a chill meal or looking to party later in the night.

Speaking of partying… the second floor is where the magic happens! The entrance is kind of a hidden surprise—it’s actually a regular door with a bathroom sign on it. You wouldn’t expect a party space behind it, but go through and boom—you’re in the heart of the fun!

And let’s not forget Taco Tuesdays! If the weather’s nice, you’ll find a mini car show outside—people pulling up in their custom rides, good food, great tunes, and just an all-around awesome vibe.

There’s also plenty of parking, which makes everything even easier. Whether you’re just grabbing dinner or planning a night out, Dyfres is a must-visit!
