I drive by this place at least once a week and by word of mouth it was recommended to me. What a gem. The store is small and the restaurant is in the back. No frills, just authentic Mexican food. I wish I would have stopped sooner. We were greeted by 3 people as we went in and greeted when we sat down to order our To-Go food. You can also sit in the small restaurant if you would like. I ordered 2 Tacos Al Pastor ($2.35 each or $1.99 on Tuesdays. It was tender, juicy and marinated well. They prepare and cook the food directly in front of you and the tortillas are freshly made per order. Tender and juicy with a ziploc bag of a cup of pico de gallo with fresh limes included for the tacos. My sister ordered the Chicken Flautas. Six of them (about 1 inch by 5 inches long). It came with Cotija cheese on top, not parmesan as mentioned earlier in a review. It came with a simple salad with tomato, onion and avocado. They served the flautas with a red salsa and a green salsa. We topped it off by sharing a 32 oz. Horchata fresca ($3.29) which tasted like fresh rice pudding but in a drink style. Que rica. How delicious. This is located in a strip mall on a busy street. It is not a scary area. This is not a typical mexican chain type of food. It is authentic and made in front of you so prepare yourself to wait while they prepare it fresh for you. You will not regret coming here. It is well worth it. Coming from New York and New Jersey, this is a typical mom and pop authentic Mexican restaurant. Very small but very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreReally messy and unorganized store. The only thing I went in there looking for was tamale corn husk, and the ones on the shelf were green and moldy. There should be tan and dry leafs. I asked the woman behind the counter if she had any more, and she brought me the bad ones off the sheft. I told her they were bad and she just put them back. She didn't even care, I was shocked. I would have liked to dine at their restaurant attached, but if they don't care about there's stores prestantation or if their products are up to date. Then I can only imagine what their kitchen is like and the food they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAuthentic is an understatement! This place is one of those hidden gems only known by spreading the word mouth to ear. I stumbled upon this place while getting a tire repaired up the road and stopped in for lunch while I waited. Ah-maz-ing!!!! Tortillas are pressed out in front of you and cooked to order. Meat is freshly prepared by order, soups are available on a rotating basis, and they even have Cachete(beef cheek) on occasion. I love the tacos and tortas from here and my kids love the quesadillas though large enough to feed all four of them. Stop in for a humble trip to...
