Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Virginia

The worst customer service I’ve had at this particular Popeyes. I drove 25 minutes to order the Surf and Turf Tacklebox meal, my favorite meal. Everytime I come here, the same cashier says she can’t hear me on the speaker in a condescending tone, and tells me to pull closer to the speaker. My tires were inches from the curb and the speaker is 4-5 feet away, I couldn’t get closer without exiting my car. Either she is hard of hearing or the speaker needs to be replaced.

After having a shouting match with her, I pull up to the window, and she didn’t face me to say the total or handle my card properly and dropped it on the road. So I had to exit my car anyways. She offered to give me two other sauces since they were out of cocktail sauce and when I said yes, she just closed the door and stood there. I’ll just have dry shrimp and fries then.

What made it unacceptable was seeing on my way home on the receipt that I was charged $16!! The menu said $10! I had had it. I called the restaurant for the manager and she couldn’t hear me either! I know it’s not me because the employee who answered the phone could hear me clearly. When I explained what had happened, she kept saying “ok?!” as if I’m an idiot for calling. She kept saying “We don’t serve the tacklebox here!” when I said it’s on the menu, she said that the menu was digital and they can’t change it. Why didn’t the cashier say that they don’t then? If it was a limited time only, she should’ve known that and have told me if I wanted it, it would cost $16 and not $10. Or even put it in so I could see the total on the screen. Only thing she did was tell the cashier not to ring people up for the Tacklebox anymore. Wouldn’t offer me a refund or even say sorry for the inconvenience. Ms. Bagley, the GM, and her team are terrible at customer service and don’t deserve the 3 stars they have.

The food itself? It was unappetizing. The popcorn shrimp was mostly bread crumbs, and the chicken was undercooked. I couldn’t even finish it. This is the worst Popeyes I’ve been to. Quality and customer service is horrible. This location should be shut down or under new management ASAP. I have been to this location three times and every time my order has been wrong. My latest visit I ordered a two piece white with fries and bottled water. I had to repeat my order nearly 5 times before the employee got it right and I had her repeat my order to make sure it was right. I get to the window and the employee hands me a cup of water. I ask her where is the bottled water and she states that they didn’t have any. I asked then why not say so when I ordered. So I asked if I was charged and she proceeded to say “it comes with the meal”. A cup of water is FREE. Once I received my meal, I opened it to confirm. Once again, order wrong. I was handed two piece dark with mashed potatoes. I handed the order back which they attempted to deny but I wasn’t accepting an order that I didn’t want. The employee returned with anther order and before handing it to me she said, “here are two breast”. I said “I didn’t order two breast. I ordered a breast and a wing”. Her response was “you’re complaining about two breast”. I didn’t care of it was 50 breast. I ordered a wing and a breast. She said that they didn’t have any wings so I asked for my money back and why wasn’t this disclosed when I ordered. She then came back with a breast and two wings with mashed potatoes. I accepted the additional wing but still had to correct the side. This place is VERY unprofessional. There are too many inexperienced young people working there. The cooks have to continuously yell at the employees. They are legit winging it. And no pun is intended. Never again will I visit or recommend...

So i was in the area and i was with my brother at the time and i dodnt think there was a KFC around here because normally i would do there but popeyes was closers so we went in everything looked nice until… i got to the counter and saw smoke in the air and it took them like 5 minutes to ring me up and i thought they were just busy so when she ring me up someone in the back glared at me with a disgusting look and i give them the benefit of the doubt and I ordered a 12 piece chicken wing meal and some nuggets. They told me that they were going to be done in 8 minutes and i was like thats fine 8 minute went by then 10, and 15 minutes later i still haven’t gotten my order a delivery person came inside and waited for his order and he seemed nice and i started talking with him about the wait and he said and i quote “i wouldnt ever go here because everything’s was dirty and the workers always glared at me” and i was absolutely disappointed not only they were doing it to me but to other people thats just disgusting and he got his order and i said have a nice day but i got my order after a few minutes later and food tasted foul and soggy and oily you thought oil and water dont mix? you thought wrong at the corners of my chicken you was oil and water mix like mix through each other but that probably was just my view but it looked sketchy ngl and my brother was disappointed because he was hungry So i would really recommend KFC because i never had a problem with them they would always talk with me but its a grace place if you want soggy chicken, glares from workers!
