Fenderz Drive In — Restaurant in Virginia

This was my second attempt to try this establishment. It is Great in its Decor! I tried them about a year ago, and decided to wait before returning. I had the same Bacon Cheese Burger again this time. It was good, but nothing more than you could make at home. I also had the French Fries again. The first time, it was obvious that the deep fryer had not been cleaned for some time, as they tasted like burned oil. This time the Fries at least did not have a burned oil taste, but were still poor. They must have the worst French Fries in the County! A little attention to cooking would turn them around to potentially great Fries. The Ice Cream is wonderful! The Service is Slow. A Potentially Great Restaurant, in need of improvement! I doubt I will be returning...

Was traveling thru the area and stopped to eat here based on the good reviews. My family was very disappointed. It wasn't the worst food ever but it was lackluster. The chicken nuggets at McDonald's taste better than their tenders and that's saying something. The waitresses were busy laughing and having a good time, but it took us at least 10 minutes to flag our waitress down to order ice cream for the kids. My husband ordered a patty melt which came on 2 pieces of bread. The burger was so small that there was more bread than meat. Our son got a burger and it was bun sized, so not sure why my husband got essentially a slider. The fries were nasty, like they been sitting around. I won't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Just left from eating with my family haven’t been since 2010 and my husband and I got burgers not good, fries was so soft they were breaking need to be crispy. My sons tender tasted frozen. My daughters hotdog was good but had to ask for their prize which was a piece of candy. For $5 and up they should receive a scoop of ice cream with their meal. The napkin box on the table had dust and looked like it had not been wiped down in months. The floors were dirty with food, napkins etc no one sweeping them. A lady came in that looked as if she worked there put her shoes in the bar and then changed into them in the restaurant and went into the bathroom to change shirts. Very unprofessional!!! Will...
