This was my first time eating here. I'd never even heard of the restaurant before. My friend picked this place to eat knowing I like to try new places. She said it is a chain though the only one in the area other than Richmond. I got their version of Panteras pick 2. I chose the grilled ham and grueyere cheese sandwich and the salad with the glazed pecan honey Dijon dressing. The salad was phenomenal! It had thin pieces of chicken in it with a nice bed of greens. The pick 2 was just the right size for me. The sandwich had a very thick chunk of ham in the middle with the melted cheese and a tomato slice. It was served very hot and was very good! There were a few things I noticed that I didn't care for. First, my friend ordered the same pick 2 with the same salad but a different sandwich. Her salad came out with her sandwich together on the plate. I was served my sandwich and had to wait another 10 minutes for my salad. They were not busy as at last half of the tables were empty. When my salad came out it was noticeably smaller than my friends. Portions here are not consistent. My friend mentioned she's been there several times and it just depends on who's cooking as to the size of the salad you get. The salad was so good I sorta felt cheated for getting the smaller portion. When my friend received her salad it had a large core in it that should have been thrown out. When I received my sandwich there was a large piece of chicken on the plate under my ham sandwich. At the time I thought nothing of it and thought "bonus" and ate it. Then I noticed another customer sending his food back one part at a time. He had spinach cooked to the bottom of his French toast, then under cooked bacon, they took his eggs back as well but don't know why. He was clearly upset. I could only deduce that the cook staff is not very clean or neat in the back at all. This calls to mind health safety regulations. No care is taken when plating the food which, in my opinion, shows a no care attitude. That said, our waitress did her job but was totally unfriendly with a bored attitude. The girl who seated us would not have spoken a word to us if I had not spoken to her first. I gave her a compliment and she just smiled and said thank you and walked away....Not even saying enjoy your meal. The guy who rang us up at the end was friendly and talkative and made our parting experience positive. I wished he was our waiter. I was pleased to see a cookbook offered for sale featuring their recipes. I didn't buy it this time but I plan to get it if they have that dressing recipe in there! Over all I had a good experience and will definitely return. They are open at 7a.m.,I believe, and close at 2:30p.m. Breakfast and lunch served the entire time. The food was very good and I will go again and give a second chance on the rest of the issues. I hope you enjoy your visit as well! Next time I will try one of the fancy...
Read moreDecided to stop in Sun June, 22 at 1:28pm to grab late brunch @ Chesterfield location. Usually leaves me feeling full and happy every time I dine here. However this experience was rather disappointing. Spoke w the hostess when I arrived and she informed me that it would be about a 15-20 minute wait (I was solo dining). I agreed as thats about average on a busy Sunday. But that 15-20 wait turned into 35-40 minutes later to get a table. I did my best to be polite and wait patiently, as I understood it was very busy but after some time I started to feel ignored.
As someone who used to be a host in a restaurant, I get it can be demanding at times. But this hostess was consistently skipping over me. For 25 minutes I watched guests walk through the door, and be seated as soon as a new table became available. Some folks on the wait list AFTER me, and some just walking in. Either way, it motivated me to go speak w the hostess again and ask if she knew about how much longer it might be, to which she didnt answer my question but replied "just waiting for a table". At this point I wasnt understanding, seeing as there were two tops, and also larger parties that had all been sat already that had come in well after me. She said nothing else, nor did she acknowledge me further through the whole almost hour I was present at this location.
I had waited for about 35 minutes when a younger and very sweet blue eyed girl who was in charge of taking care of guests paying their tab came to me and asked "Are you still waiting for a table!? Whats your name?" And soon after that I was gratefully, yet awkwardly sat in a large 6 top table. Honestly, had this young woman not stopped to interact with me, I was about to walk out. So let me just say, she was the SHINING STAR and EMPLOYEE out of this whole experience.
The waitress was kind, I tried not to let my frustration be apparent but don't think I was too good at hiding it after waiting almost an hour. As she even asked me "How long have you been waiting?!"
The food was alright. I ordered a Trifecta with a waffle, and eggs over easy (which were well done, instead.) And bacon.
I get on a busy Sunday after church one might not feel compelled to prioritize one top tables, seeing as they wont generate as much revenue as larger parties but I did not enjoy being overlooked and the whole experience left a lot to be desired. Solo diners are paying guests, nonetheless and should be treated fairly as anyone else.
Orange juice I ordered was taken off my bill, ig waitress did me a little favor. Which I appreciate the gesture.
Overall, I'd rate this experience very low on the scale. With the hostess receiving the lowest rating of all.
I am a typically a solo diner, but I eat quickly and I tip well - when taken care of. Maybe I'll go to the Midlothian location next time. They always get me right there. Can't say I'll ever come back to this...
Read morePleasant experience. We got the million dollar harvest hash (which came out looking just as great as the photo if you see it online) and the avocado bacon omelette. Both were wonderful. The greens were well dressed with the omelette. Everything was cooked well short of the sweet potatoes in the hash. They were a little bit under and the over easy eggs were a hair over, but minor details and still were incredibly well seasoned and flavorful. Neither one of those aspects took away from the essence of the dish. It could’ve used a touch more hot honey as it was delicious and the goat cheese crumbles were amazing which really brought the dish up to a higher level as did the bacon.
The omelette was beautiful. It was cooked to perfection and served with a bit of flair, which is always appreciated. The toast was done with care and very fresh.
The coffee was OK, wonderful selection of creamers and sweetening options. They have quite a menu, and it was difficult to choose as you could be pretty much as healthy or as naughty as you’d like.
We were very pleasantly surprised today as we have had delivery from this restaurant more than once, with different services and it was poor quality each time, and we had been horribly disappointed. We kept wanting it to be better, and we had an in person dining experience at a different location nearby again, very disappointed with the food at that location, but this time the experience was exactly what we wanted it to be.
We don’t really love the atmosphere. It’s not our thing. We tend to go for more cozy not trendy. The wait staff could use a little more interpersonal training, but they certainly were sufficient in what they needed to do in general. We were attended to well and there was not any long wait times. They were actually a lot faster than I expected (as well as the chef).
The place is definitely handicap accessible. There is wheelchair parking and a curb cut through right in front of the entrance so it’s easy to wheel right in. Seating is really easy to adapt. We don’t know anything about the bathrooms as I didn’t check that it was not very noisy in there and it had sufficient lighting. We went early in the morning. There was plenty of seating. Without question, I would definitely repeat the experience, and before we went today, I was definitely questioning going there from my prior experiences with this chain but now, I would definitely try again. Maybe they’ve just improved but whatever it is, that was a fantastic breakfast, and it was so much food. I actually have leftovers That I am looking forward to...
