A friend of mine recommended this place and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the appetizers to the drinks, everything was top-notch.
Appetizer: Bruschetta Pesto - $8 I started with the Bruschetta Pesto, which was a delightful way to kick off the meal. Priced at $8, this appetizer features fresh tomato, garlic, basil, and mozzarella, all on perfectly toasted bread. The flavors were incredibly fresh and vibrant, with the basil and garlic complementing the juicy tomatoes and creamy mozzarella. It was a simple yet flavorful dish that set the tone for the rest of the meal.
Entree: Fig & Goat Pizza - $15 For my entree, I chose the Fig & Goat pizza, priced at $15. This pizza was a true masterpiece, combining white sauce, provolone, goat cheese, fig jam, arugula, rosemary olive oil, and sea salt. The crust was perfectly baked with a nice char, providing a wonderful texture. The combination of the sweet fig jam with the tangy goat cheese and the freshness of the arugula was absolutely delightful. The rosemary olive oil and sea salt added a perfect finishing touch, enhancing the overall flavor profile.
Drink: Funcktastic Waffle House Mead - $8 To accompany my meal, I opted for the Funcktastic Waffle House mead, which was $8. With a 6.5% alcohol content, this mead had a unique buttery maple syrup flavor that was both intriguing and satisfying. It paired wonderfully with both the appetizer and the pizza, adding a sweet and slightly complex note to the meal.
Overall, I highly recommend everything I tried. The Bruschetta Pesto was a refreshing starter, the Fig & Goat pizza was an inventive and delicious entree, and the Funcktastic Waffle House mead was the perfect drink to tie it all together. I can’t wait to return and try more of...
Read moreIf I could give a zero I would. My husband and I went to this restaurant on our anniversary, had a sitter for our 2 year old. We’re both late 20’s. We sit down and order drinks, the waiter asks for our ID’s and we hand them to him. We moved this past year from Alabama and hadn’t switched our licenses yet. He said “oh I’ve never seen Alabama licenses before, these look fake” and we kind of chucked because what a weird thing to say. He continues to say he needed to check them, which was fine assuming they had a tool to scan and check IDs. Comes back after apparently calling his boss and said he was refusing us drinks, which was a glass of Chardonnay and a Jack and coke, because he thought we had fake IDs. Not only was it an embarrassing situation considering they definitely weren’t fake and our Alabama tag outside could also prove that. We had this special evening planned just us and the weird accusation really made an awkward situation. We should have left right then, that’s my only regret. Messaged the business page on Facebook to explain how disappointed we were and they said “sorry we were made aware of the situation but it’s to bad, our bartender said he thought they were fake because one was only for a year (I had to replace my ID previously because I lost it and AL doesn’t let you renew before the actual time for 4 years). I expected them to apologize at the VERY least but they were ugly and disrespectful. Will absolutely not come again, and happy to tell anyone else not to go either. Especially if you’re traveling and MIGHT have an out of state ID. Heaven forbid they get any customers from anywhere else...
Read moreThe guy behind the bar seemed to have a chip on his shoulder, 1 person wanted to walk out after the initial interaction, i no longer wanted to but anything substantial myself as well at that point. Had I not been there for a family member's birthday party, I would have just left or not gotten anything, but due to those obligations I ended up getting the cheapest thing on the menu and no longer ordered a drink that I had totally planned on getting.
Also, I tried to resample some beer and they were all flat, my wife had some cider that was pretty good, that wasn't flat.
Overall the drinks are expensive and subpar since it all tasted like they were a can that had been opened for hours.
They make you pour your own water, cut your own pizza, cut your own salad lettuce heads.
The pizza seems more niche and gimmick than an actual meal, you get three times as much pizza at Costco, for half the price. They don't seem to have much competition in the area, which is probably why they have their...
