Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Virginia

Absolutely gross. Jersey mikes has awesome subs but this place in particular is not sanitary. The guy that usually takes your order will have on gloves and write down your order and then proceed to not change his gloves and reach into meat cooler and have his dirty hands all over the meat after he just had his hands all over the counter and writing pen. Then still not change gloves and write down the next persons order and again reach back into meat cooler. Imagine how many germs he himself is spreading into that meat cooler. Also meat cooler is dirty. The cooking area in general is dirty. They constantly touch trash cans , open coolers etc and continue to handle food without ever changing gloves. I have seen someone grab their hat and readjust it and touch meat afterward. If you ever go here watch for yourself and see how the young people who work there just don't care. If you do decide to eat here tell whoever to change their gloves and watch them like hawks. Stuff like this is how...

We are Jersey Mike's fans and typically go there versus other sub places. We have been to this location twice. I always get the Original Italian Mike's Way. The first time at this location it was dry and I didn't think they put any oil and vinegar on it. So this time, I had my wife ask for extra oil and vinegar (which she did on both my sandwich and hers). Both sandwiches were very dry - even after requesting extra oil & vinegar. The bread was not the freshest - but not something I would have bothered to comment had it now been for the lack of oil & vinegar even after requesting extra. JM typically is overly generous when requesting Mike's Way so much so that the wrapping paper often has oil on it. In this case, the paper on both were completely dry - as were the two sandwiches. We typically love Jersey Mikes and all their stores. But, let me say this Jersey needs some serious management changes. We came in as the only customers waiting to order, and it took 5 minutes for any staff to awknowledge we were present. After taking orders, the manager couldn’t stop commenting on how he can’t wait to close shop, instead of paying attention to customer service. Really disappointed Jersey Mikes hasn’t come in and ripped management here a new one, since every other Jersey we’ve ever been to has been phenomenal in customer service and quality of subs.
