Katie's Ice Cream & Chocolates — Restaurant in Virginia

We came to Roanoke to bring our son to the museums here and enjoy a new area of Virginia. We Hoteled near Katie's Ice Cream and went in there on a Friday evening. The staff was very gracious and inviting and the ice cream was great. But my son lost a very sentimental ring after I told him to go to the restroom and wash his hands. We arrived back at the hotel and that's when he realized his ring was missing. Well, what does a loving parent do??? I got on the internet and found the number, called and when answered, told the listener of our awful plight. !! The young lade expressed that they had not received anything but to call back in 15 minutes as they were very busy. Well, my wife and son and I hop in the truck and speed over there. As I was pulling into a parking space, my cell phone rang and the young lady from Katies' said they had found a ring that was very similar to the one I had described. We walk in, and sure enough , there it was........Wow.......WHY CAN'T I PUT UP 10...

It is a nice little place needs new tables both inside and out. We went in there today to get some ice cream and there was only one person in there working. There was also a very strong smell of chemicals that is not something I want to smell when I go in to order ice cream. I suggest using H2O cleaning products they are non-toxic and they will not be harmful, ice cream and any other food should not be around harsh chemicals ever. We like the various flavors , but even the place where you keep the ice creams needed cleaning and better refrigeration, there were some melting before they were scooped. Fix these things and I will move the rating up. But for now sorry that is...

My favorite local ice cream shop, the one and only Katie's! They have just about every flavor of Hershey's ice cream that you could think of, the extreme chocolate was incredible and tasted like a dark chocolate brownie batter, my husband got the peanut butter cup which is his favorite with ribbons of peanut butter going through it! You can get any manner of the size of cones and cups with a whole bunch of other cool things at the store. Like pick your own jelly beans and a huge ty section.
