La Michoacana — Restaurant in Virginia

This is one of my top favorite places! Love their "chocolate milk" and elote en vaso. They offer so many yummy ice cream flavors and their bakery has endless fresh baked items as well!

As much as I love what they have to offer, I have to change my review. The discrimination I've encountered my last four visits has only gotten worse. I regularly visit on weekends and recently have been made as if I'm not welcome. Have to deal with being completely ignored and skipped in line, ladies rolling their eyes, attitude, and made to feel as if I'm an inconvenience to the staff. Which is so disappointing. I've always stayed pleasant and continued to try and support this establishment. But after so many consistent bad visits, I'm not willing to continue giving my money to a place that treats certain...

This place is beautiful. The staff are so friendly and helpful and they keep the restaurant pretty clean and tidy. It's a joy to sit there.

Because this is a primarily Latino run business, there can be a bit of a language barrier if you don't speak Spanish, but the employees are always willing to work with you.

And you can't beat the sheer quality of ice cream that you're getting for such an affordable price point. There are so many flavors to choose from and they're all amazing.

I can get a good size bowl of ice cream for about three bucks. That same amount would probably cost me around six at a Dairy Queen.

Absolutely amazing place. Had never heard of it before, but I went there with my partner thinking it was worth a shot- definitely amazing. We loved our ice cream so much, we came back two days later with another friend to get a couple paletas and those were amazing as well. You can definitely tell these people really care about the products and services they provide.
