What in the concentration camp is this place?! We are traveling, and we are hungry, so we go to this McDonald’s. There’s 7 of us, all females. We naturally went right to the bathrooms because I really didn’t want to waste my allotted 30 minutes cleaning up urine from the floor. This elderly Spanish speaking employee with her bright yellow vest STORMS into the bathroom and makes us all leave, demanding we buy food. NO mam, I will empty this bladder and THEN get my food. So I happily informed her that we will get lunch after we use the restroom. At this point two out of 3 bathrooms are down. One is out of toilet paper and the other will not flush. So we tell VP of bathroom security, and remain outside of the bathroom and await our call to nature. Now, DOESNT SHE GO AND USHER ME INTO THE BATHROOM WITH NO TOILET PAPER. Did I mention I am a female? Ok. So I remind her to calm down, this is McDonald’s, not basic training. I finally get to pee, and I thought she would have supplied the bathroom with toilet paper, having known it was out and then putting me in there. Nope. Thank god someone was able to hand me a wad over the door. At this point I don’t even know if I have time to wash my hands let alone order my food. Their ordering kiosk doesn’t work, so while the cashier was busy fixing the other customers orders, I had to wait to pay with cash. At this point the VP of Ronald McDonald Protection is guarding the soda machines. She had dropped something and was yelling at another customer to pick up their mess. At this point I had about 2 minutes to get out of there before I was likely arrested by corporal McDouble. Way to take an already stressful situation of traveling with 5 girls and another adult and make it as if we were criminals in prison awaiting our slop meals. I don’t think any of us will ever bother with McDonald’s again, already overpriced garbage food, add in being verbally assaulted and the place should just be condemned. I’m sure I’ll likely lose 5 years off of my life expectancy from my...
Read moreThe WORST McDonald's I have ever visited. I do not often rank businesses at the one star level or below because I want to offer grace and understand concerning an assessment of poor service from a brief snapshot in time...but this McDonald's is horrible! I have been here four or five times in the past month during breakfast hours. Each visit has been through the drive thru and this is where I have the problem. The first visit, I sat at the drive thru speaker for 15 minutes and the vehicle in front of me waited for 10 before they pulled off. I should have taken the hint because as I sat in the drive thru gazing at the menu amd patiently waiting, no one ever came to assist me. Eventually, I pulled around to the first window where associates were standing, they simply looked at me, and then continued about their business. This same sequence happened two more time and in each case, I went to the McDonald's at the Tackett's Mill location. I decided to give this store another chance and darted into the drive thru. Again, I waited at the speaker and no one took my order after 10 minutes, and I pulled around to the pickup window. Once I got to the window, there was a person that appeared to be a manager and she apologized for not taking the order at the speaker and promptly took my order. The order was quickly filled and was tasty!
Management, there are issues with this store and it is desperate need of:
Regional Manager's oversight and local store manager refresher training.
Customer service training for all employees.
Outside landscape/lawn care.
Points one and two should acted upon immediately, as there are two other McDonald's within a two mile radius on highway 123...thus making this store less of an option for overall service and where folks simply want to spend their hard earned money. I expect more for the McDonald's brand because I am not loving anything emerging...
Read moreMy family went to use the bathroom while waiting for our order. A small female staff member was standing at the entrance to the bathrooms. When my son, 11 years old, (who happens to have long hair but was otherwise dressed like a boy) went to enter the men's room this women started yelling at him and telling him no. She kept pointing to the girls room and telling him to go in. I cam over to see what the fuss is as his sister had already tried to explain amd the lady would not listen. I finally yelled at her, stood between her and my son and told him to go use the proper bathroom.
When he was in the restroom another staff member came over to see what had happened and I explained the situation. This male staff member said nothing to me (I was honestly expecting and apology) and went to talk to the women, I assume to hear her side of the story. He asked her to step away from the entrance to the bathrooms and she refused, moving further inside. Then a manager came over and spent some time convincing this women to move. She ended up moving to the other side of the restaurant and staring at us intently the entire time we were in the building. No one else said a word to us or acknowledged what had happened.
I believe this women may have had special needs or a mental illness. I did not feel comfortable being around her and my son was absolutely devastated by the entire thing. At the very least I would expect some type of apology. I hope that you can take this as an opportunity to realize that more training is needed for...
