This was my first visit to this particular McDonald's, and it was the worst experience I have EVER had at a McDonald's in 50 years!! I am truly one of the most patient and understanding Consumer's you will ever find! I have worked in the Food Service industry, Customer Service, and Management. I understand Staffing issues, COVID issues, New Employee's, Young Employee's etc... That being said, there is no excuse for having to wait almost an hour...56 minutes to be exact, for one "Big Breakfast with Bacon!" I had been standing up there since my number was called...I had my coffee, my Aunt's Pineapple Mango Slushy drink, 2 Breakfast Burritos, 2 Hash brown's, and an Oatmeal getting cold in a bag! I had ordered on my phone to pick up the order, I followed directions, they knew I was missing the Big Breakfast when they gave me the rest of the order! I saw "Big Breakfast" container's going out to other people in the Drive thru and to delivery people constantly! My number wasn't even showing up on the screen anymore! There was a female Manager "Working" right there in the front! I counted at least 8 employees working the front and back of the restaurant. I finally had to ask if they remembered I was still waiting for a "Big Breakfast?"...I don't know how they could have forgotten though, since I had been standing in the same spot for almost an hour!! The girl said it "Okay," and told the Manager, the Manager stated she knew I was waiting, but it hadn't come up yet!! In almost an hour?!!? I would have hopped back there myself and thrown a Breakfast together, if I was the Manager, or even a regular employee with a little ambition, initiative, or at least a little Customer Service skills!! That is the saddest, most baffling part of all.... Absolutely no Customer Service! No one even acknowledged me the whole time I was standing there waiting! No one apologized for the wait, said they were working on it, said they HADN'T forgotten about me, or God forbid, offer to refill my coffee that I ended up drinking during this horrible ordeal! I had to ask....and after asking, I finally got my Aunt's "Big Breakfast, with Bacon," about 13 minutes later! The Manager brought it to me, and to her credit, she said she put something extra in the bag for us, for our wait.....We got ONE Apple pie, to share!!!! How thoughtful and generous that was, after waiting almost one hour!! After having to eat cold hash browns and a cold, hard burrito, we got to split a Hot apple pie!! It would have been mighty tasty with a little coffee, but that was long gone!! That was the worst $18.00 I've ever spent in my life!! The only reason we were in the area of this McDonald's this morning was that I had to have my Aunt at her Doctor appointment at 9 a.m. to have her Chemo pump disconnected and her port flushed after her first treatment on Friday. And of all the places in the Area of Warrick and Jefferson she could have chosen, she chose McDonald's, because they're always "Fast, Good, and Easy!".....Yup, back in the "Good 'ol day's," Auntie, not anymore!! So very...
Read moreLet me tell you about the last two times I went here.
The time before last, I ordered a double quarter pounder meal, large. Nothing special. When I got home, the burger had no buns. At all. It was two pieces of meat and toppings sitting in the box.
The last time I went here, I ordered almost the exact same thing, double quarter pounder with cheese, combo. Large fries and a drink. Literally the only thing that was correct was that they gave me a coke. Everything else was totally wrong: wrong burger, small fries, fries were soggy, cold, and unsalted, the drink was a medium instead of a large, and for the second time, there was an issue with the bun: it had no bottom. It had a top, for sure. But no bottom bun. Forget the pickles, or accidentally put mustard on it when somebody said no mustard, I understand. I get that. I wouldn't say a word if something like that happened. But who on earth messes up the BUN!?
This was so terrible that I took it back. I'm a polite person. I understand how hard line cooking can be. But it was so bad that I had to take it back. And you know what happened? The manager on shift argued with me. Even though I had the receipt and showed it to her, even though I showed her that everything was wrong and that this wasn't what I paid for, she argued with me, insisting that it was. I wish I had caught her name, but I was honestly so angry that I could hardly see straight. I shut my mouth and left. I have no intention at all of ever going back.
You want my honest opinion of this place? There's a Domino's, a Wendy's, a Little Caesar's, a Chick-Fil-A, and a Panera Bread within walking distance of their location, along with half a dozen local places, like Byrd's, Soprano's, and Subway Station. Go literally ANYWHERE else but here. I'd rather pay fourteen dollars for a sandwich combo that I ordered at Panera's or Subway Station than twelve for somebody else's meal at the Warwick Boulevard McDonald's. Because that's what will happen. You'll pay 8-12 dollars for whatever it is you get, and it will be completely wrong, and the shift manager will fight you over it because I guess that's easier than apologizing and fixing the problem.
You can get a large pizza with five toppings at Domino's for ten dollars. Keep that in mind the next time you feel like swinging by for a Big Mac or a double...
Read moreAll I wanted was 2 quarter pounder cheeseburgers. I had a coupon code on my phone for a second one free. I told the young lady at the drive thru I want a quarter pounder and have a code for a second one free. She said she could barely hear me. I kept hearing what sounded like a party in the background. She asked to put me on hold. 2 minutes later she comes back on and says she can't hear me. Yelling in to the intercom I want a quarter pounder and have a code to get one free. She kept laughing and saying 3 quarter pounders. I said no only 2. I have a code to get the second one free. She responds okay 3 quarter pounders and starts adding stuff I never asked for on to the order. I yelled back in to the intercom meanwhile the background party continued. I only wanted 2 quarter pounders and gave her the app code to get the 2nd one free. She asked to put me on hold. Then apologized and asked me to repeat my order. I gave it to her again and she said the code expired. I literally got the code 30 seconds before I pulled up at the drive thru. I explained if it expired it's because you canceled the code when you deleted my order, or because it's taken forever for you to put in an order for 2 quarter pounders. She said she can't honor the code. After wasting 7 minutes of my time trying to place a simple order for 2 quarter pounders, keep I'm mind this was not 7 minutes in line, it was 7 minutes trying to get the drive thru worker to understand I wanted 2 quarter pounders and had a Mobil app code to get the 2nd one free. Then was told not because of my fault, but because of the error of the employee I couldn't get the 2nd quarter pounder free. Frustrated I said f$%k this, I'm out of here and drove off. I went to Arby's around the corner. The drive, the wait in line, time it took me to place, pay for, and recieve my order was about equal to the 7 min I wasted trying to place a order...
