Try Sushi King instead. Me and my friend walked in at 2:38pm. Lunch is listed until 3pm. The male host was very nice and grabbed two lunch menus. He started walking us to our seat and the lady behind the register says to him: we are closing up lunch and if we used the lunch menu we could order 1 time off of the all you can eat lunch menu and to grab two dinner menus. I gave him the dinner menus back and said it is only 2:40p now so we ordered everything we wanted right then. I was turned off at this point and should have left. We ordered 5 sushi rolls, shrimp yakisoba, fried rice, seaweed salad, miso soup, shrimp shumai, and crab rangoon. These were very small portions which was fine. I am assuming for lunch. When it was time to pay, the lady taking the payment said we have to pay an extra $6 because we didnât eat ALL of the food. I said: we have to eat every bite? She said yes. We ate almost everything and there was no excessive waste. I fell like she did this because she wanted us to order off of the dinner menu when it was lunch hours. Me and my friend split the $6 and didnât leave a tip. This is a terrible business practice and Iâm sure they donât do this to everyone. I could understand ordering a bunch of food and not eating it but to leave a few pieces of sushi and be charged extra for it is insane. Needless to say I will never eat here again. The whole experience made my stomach turn and...
Read moreI used to love this place pre-covid. The overall quality seems to have gone down. While the raw sushi is fine as any raw fish should be, many of the rolls and other options are subpar.
The spicy salmon and tuna rolls are disgusting to name a few. The chicken curry was terrible and had a foul odor that made me wonder why the waitress was comfortable serving that.
Speaking of waitresses, many have come and gone since I've been dining there over the years, but they have this particular waitress (unfortunately don't have a name) that will give you a hard time for a higher tip. While I didn't tip a disrespectful amount, the service was subpar and therefore I didn't feel like it deserved 20%. As my party prepares to leave, she comes up to me telling me I need to tip higher. I refuse and she asks me "are you sure?" before storming off.
Safe to say, I kept an eye on my account since there's a previous review here by a user by the name of "Tom Cruise" that had the same experience, but he was charged more money than he originally tipped which is unacceptable. I'm not sure if it's one or more waitresses that are doing this, but with the combination of this issue, the food and service quality going down, I believe that justifies my rating to this once beloved restaurant I used to take all of my friends to.
I will no longer be dining at this establishment and I encourage others...
Read moreUsed to be our favorite spot, now completely declined We were regulars at this restaurant, the food was really good. Service was hit or miss but we were willing to overlook that because we enjoyed the food. Sashimi was very generous and fresh. Rolls were great. Come Covid it has completely changed. We received awful service there. The rolls were mostly rice and sashimi was so tiny you couldnât even tell what youâre eating. Problems with our order. Server trying to make us pay for small toddler. Just bad. We gave it another chance recently. Sadly it hasnât improved. You can really tell theyâre trying save every penny. Theyâve really cut back the amount of seafood they give you to the point that it defeats the purpose of the meal. The rolls are noticeably worse than they ever were being mainly rice. Sashimi is just as tiny and this time not fresh. Service was not great, mixing up our order. We didnât get all the things ordered and receive 2 identical rolls when we ordered 2 different ones. We just decided itâs not worth it at this point. So many great sushi restaurants in the area, just pay a little more and eat some good sushi with...
