So bummed. We've been ordering here for about 5 years now but tonight was the first time we had a problem that we felt we needed to say something about. We've had problems before but have overlooked them because the problems were minimal (the Miso soup was old, very salty and tasted like it had sat in the pot all day) compared to the quality of sushi. We ordered the appetizer Shrimp Tempura because my father in law couldn't chew hard food, but instead got fried, extremely breaded and really hard shrimp. Even though it was "butterfly" it was not tempura which is much softer. When we called back to let the restaurant know, an hour later, since it was obviously a mistake (maybe due to a new cook, or just grabbing the wrong product), the young lady that answered the phone argued with us that "that's the way it has always been." Not to mention it was 30 minutes late after when we were told it would be here and not hot. We weren't trying to get free food. We just wanted to inform them of the mistake and was met with an argument. This was not good and extremely disappointing considering I recommend this restaurant to everyone I know. I guess I'll have to check the bag before the driver leaves to make sure my order is correct next time. If there is...
Read moreI ordered the Pineapple Chicken and Chicken Chow Mein. I never seen Pineapple chicken just cooked, the chicken was not fried, had a lot of vegetables and mushrooms in there. The Chicken Chow Mein came with rice not noodles, and was not fried. I called the restaurant about the order, and was told by Cindy, not sure if that's her real name. She gave that name when I asked, that's how they make their food. I'm allergic against mushrooms and the Pineapple chicken looked disgusting. I guess I expected sympathy and an offer of a different dish, but nothing. I live 20 minutes away from the restaurant and ordered from there several times before. That will not happen again. I wasted my money and was not offered an replacement for the awful food. There is no description about the dishes online. Pineapple Chicken the meat is fried. It is made like sweet & sour with fresh Pineapple, some restaurants put green peppers in the dish. Chow Mein is made with thin noodles and fried, not made with rice. I asked for the owner, but was not provided with the persons name. I'm really upset about wasting my money, I did not eat the food. I added a picture of both dishes to this post.
Horrible...
Read moreI don't know what they're doing. Maybe they have changed chefs or something, but the food doesn't taste as good as it used to. My friend ordered shrimp egg foo young that came with three large patties but a very small bowl of white rice. This dish should come with a larger bowl of rice. You shouldn't have to ask for more rice and you definitely shouldn't have to pay for it. It's just not enough rice for the dish period. The pork fried rice that comes with the luncheon specials is tasteless. It use to taste better. I need to rethink this restaurant as being my favorite for Chinese food. It isn't anymore. This is an update to my previous review of one year ago. I went back to Asain Grill this past Sunday 3/1 because my grandson wanted some general tso chicken from there. It was better, especially the pork fried rice. The rice had a nice flavor, plenty pieces of pork throughout and most importantly, it was flaky and not gummy and flavorless as it was before. Whoever the chef was that made the fried rice on that Sunday, should make it all the time as it was delicious. The chicken was equally delicious. I will give them another try now. I hope the food will...
