McDonald's — Restaurant in Virginia

Ordered from McDonald's via Grubhub a Big Breakfast with Hotcakes. This came with a hash brown, a sausage patty, a biscuit, and scrambled eggs. I ordered extra sausage patty, a extra biscuit, added bacon (two stripes), and two apple pies. Also ordered a Strawberry Banana Smoothie. Everything arrived early, driver was polite, and the food was packed in TWO bags - the drink had its own bag. Great so far. The Smoothie was great and REALLY hit the spot during this hot summer days. The three pancakes, with the whipped butter and syrup, was great. I don't think there is a way to screw up pancakes and McDonald's knows how to make pancakes. I was surprised by the biscuits which were not salty - another plus for me. The two strips of bacon was pretty good, the sausage patties and the scrambled eggs were okay, and the apple pies were perfect. I think they have improved on them since I was a kid. Came with napkins and all the extras. Five out of five. Update - 2/21/2021 - ordered a deal with this location via Grubhub and have to say I am impressed by the flavor and SIZE of the Crispy Buttermilk Chicken. Very nice. This McDonald’s seems to be the only one in the area that seems to get my order right every single time. Update - Had to take a star away. Some orders have missing items and sometimes they replace the Tea I ordered with something else that tastes like, but isn't, Cola. A tad disappointed as it seems all McD's locations are now all sub-standard. Sad. Update - the last delivery from this location was so messed up I am starting to wonder if they are just screwing up orders for the fun of it. Had to take two stars away. They screwed up two out of three drinks, forgot the sauces for the nuggets, and my Large Fries were more on the medium size side. Addition - 8/7/2022 - ordered Big Breakfast with hotcakes with extra biscuit, extra sausage, and extra scrambled eggs. Also sweet tea and iced coffee. Amazingly they got the drinks right and sent me one scrambled egg and one biscuit. Oh, and butter. The rest was not in the bag. I REALLY wish drivers, or the crew at the loaction, checked the order. One star. Update - accidently ordered from this McD. Three items out of the order was missing and one item that should have been warm was cold. They REALLY should remove this location from Grubhub and other third party deliver services. Update - ordered from this location by accident. They got the order right. ...

TOXIC McDonalds: AVOID this store.

Took a very long time for 3 cars ahead of me to get through the drive-through. When it was my turn, attendant informed me that the menu item is not available at that location, and I must use the app to cancel the order (not possible after payment) or call on the phone for a refund. After my online complaint was addressed at the end of the day, I was told that the refund can only be issued at that location. My visit there was a one off and it's not convenient to return. Also they did not give me a paper receipt, so I don't know the store # (and could not get the info from the persons I spoke with on the phone). Avoid this location, if not all McDonalds. Now I have 2 distant locations that owe me refunds; this has become a thing with McDonalds, and it has worn my patience with the brand thin. I'm gonna start making my own breakfast. I wasted an hour on this today and no refund, no breakfast.

Update: A month later I was back in the area and returned for my refund as I had been instructed to do by the person who called me about my online complaint. Today the manager says that refunds are not given on site. Instead I must call the phone number. Which I had done at the time, and they had told me that refunds must be issued on site. Make up your mind, McDonalds! Manager says that they will extend the refund this time only, just because I came all the way back. The person on the phone had sent me a free coupon for the item, but only redeemable at certain locations. I appreciate that, and I did redeem it somewhere else. This location is toxic and to be avoided. There is another McDonalds relatively nearby. The 1-star review unfortunately is...

May 2024: Horrible staff and big scammers, I go there to redeem a $4 of and the cashier on purpose doesn't apply it and charges me $6 compared to the $1 I was supposed to pay. Also the same stupid cashier I told him to add me bbq sauce with my food and told me it was free so then he removed it from my order so i thought no bigge ill go to the counter and get one myself but turns out they're charging 30 cents for the tiny sauces. Also they don't have self serve drink machines and i swear to god you have to wait 20 minutes for a cup and there is so much stuff doing nothing in the back. AUG: EDIT: Came back here again a few months later sort of by force so I was delivering food and I go up and tell them my order and this little teenager is like “yuh I gotcha” and proceeds to just walk around the back pretending to work and literally on purpose doesn’t give me my order and try’s to say it isn’t ready even though I see the bag with the same code so I’m waiting there for like 5 minutes and I get fed up and just shout at one of them to come to the pick up desk because for some reason 99% of the time there is no one at the cashier and I tell an older person like yo where’s the food I literally see it and she’s like “oh yeah here you go”. Dude literally screw this place they are filled with untrained teens...
