Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Virginia

Really disappointed today. I have been working in town for months now. Almost done. Have watched them do the remodel of the drive-through. Mobile app users are now very obviously prioritized. Easy to make the turn into the mobile lane but it’s an extremely tight turn into the regular drive-through lane. I came here last night just to get a diet Sunjoy drink because it’s one of the few drinks. I really enjoy being diabetic. Arrived at 9:02 PM and came upon two cones in the drive-through lanes. I pulled up to the side door and the sign on the door said they closed at 9pm. That really blew me away. Chick-fil-A has always closed at 10 PM everywhere I’ve ever been including my small town that I live in now when I mentioned it to several friends back home, they couldn’t believe it so I went away pretty sad. I was out driving around today and decided to get my drink and pulled in around 12:45 PM. The drive-through lane was very long. And not moving the mobile app lane was going pretty fast. I just don’t like using a mobile app. It feels like a lot more work for me personally. It’s just not very friendly for older people. It took me 13 minutes to get through line there. I ordered a meal and then decided to add a cool wrap for lunch the next day so I wouldn’t have to come out. When I got home, my requested dressing for the cool wrap was nowhere to be found. I have never had to check behind Chick-fil-A. They always get it right. This is really disappointing because now just to eat the wrap I have to go back for dressing. It’s too much to explain but where I’m at. I’m kind of camping out so I don’t have the normal amenities that you would have. They make fun of the people that don’t care for the mobile app online. Their food is fine; however, this Chick-fil-a creates a constant traffic hazard disrupting all traffic flow to other businesses in it's shopping center when it's laziest customers will literally sit in line on the road outside of the restaurant property instead of finding a place to park. This effectively closes off the only available lane of traffic flow in that direction causing people going both ways to consolidate into a single lane with extremely poor visibility due to the automotive conga line of ignorance. People turning out of the restaurant to leave (who are driving correctly) can run head first into people trying to avoid the chick-fil-a line and go to any other shop in the shopping center. I'm sick of living near here and repeatedly watching near accidents and jams happen without chick-fil-a doing anything to help reduce this behavior. Something as simple as a sign out there to instruct people not to do this and/or speaker/camera to notify people refusing to alleviate the traffic hazard they won't be served. The only safe way to enter this shopping center is to drive past the main entrance closest to the major highway and come in from the far end and treck back to where you need to go OR sit behind the traffic jam and help contribute to it backing up to the main road for as long as that takes to you to clear safely. Unfortunately, our worst experience at a Chick-fil-A. And we are huge fans and eat there often. First of all, we learned--sadly--that they no longer serve cole slaw at many of their restaurants. We were informed by our associate that it is considered unhealthy. How about the fried food, or the barbecue sauce we thought. Are those considered healthy? This really is a huge disappointment. We ALWAYS get chicken and cole slaw there (a very good, cheap, quick, well-balanced meal), and I'm not being overdramatic here--we probably won't return except on occasion if we can't get cole slaw with our meals there. Please hear us Chick-fil-A! We instead got a small salad...the new "Superfood" salad with kale. It was TINY, and was absolutely not a good value. We were shocked, really, and considered returning it. Won't get that again. We went to sit down at the booth just to the left of the front door. The table and seats were dirty and my seat, anyway, was lumpy as if the springs were broken. We moved. And we had to really look around for a clean table. One was hard to find. I'll bet the restaurant was understaffed as usually it's easy to find a clean table. We finally found a tiny table in the back (no one would use it), and parked ourselves there. Fortunately the food was still warm and tasty. But boy this was not a good experience at all. And it made our meal a lot...
