Mi Familia Deli and Tienda — Restaurant in Virginia

The MI Familia Deli and Tienda is now trendy than deli. It's really more of a local hangout spot than anything else. This medium-sized store has about three shelves that begin right by the entrance as you make your easy to the back to order food. When you get to the front your looking at what appears to be a buffet about four feet wide, but as you draw closer, you see the plastic barrier with two rows of Hispanic trays of food. As I looked at it, I had to think twice as to what I was going to order because it didn't really look appealing. The food looked undercooked and the choices are limited. So, I asked for the red beans and rice with pork shoulder. The young woman pulls out this big tray, which I assumed was I would be getting large servings. To my misfortune, I was served a one serving of rice and three pieces of meat, look at the pictures. I didn't want to eat here because the dining area didn't look accomodating and the music was too loud to even think straight. If this were New York, I'd think this was a pool hall or a numbers place. It just wasn't one of those places I wood take a date or a family member to. I won't come here again. I've been to many places and it just doesn't sit well with me. Especially, that staff and customers didn't start masks, I was the only person. Another item of importance, my food was cold, not even luke warm. Sorry, but even giving it one-star is...

I will never eat at a place where pigs are served . Pig/pork is forbidden even Bible to eat, even touching one renders you unclean for 40 days. So it cannot be a Christian place serving pork. The fact matters to me as you either live by man made laws or God's laws. And a true Christian is only when they honor the laws written in Bible As far as the place and it's location it sits more like at a hidden spot though it's on a corner street location. You can smell the laundry detergents from the nearby laundry place long ways depending which side the wind is blowing. There is good food and then there is suicide food ! I would not eat at any such place. That's my honest review...

If the drive down to the MGM is too far for ya I would definitely recommend checking out this place in Sterling! They have a variety of game machines and the place has a classic latino casino vibe! You can even drink beer indoors to cool down after a long day of work. They have a restaurant too to fill your appetite.
