Been coming here for years not exactly sure what happened to make this turn south So, here's the tale: made an online early pickup order (5:40pm) via the app two extra large meat lovers, one large thin crust veggie, plus $10 tip (figured the crew is working their butts off and during tough times), total = $75.69 app indicated pizzas were done before the 6pm scheduled time, all good! arrived at the store 5 minutes later, walked up to the counter gave staff member #1 the order name, he promptly walked to the back returning (within seconds), with two pizzas then the fun began starting with a Monty Python-esque (dead parrot skit) friendly argument with staff #1 "I ordered...
Read moreSO DISAPPOINTING!!!! Let me start off by saying that I have enjoyed pizza from Piasanos on numerous occasions but last night did not hit the mark. I order the same thing every time and always ask for “extra garlic”... whoever was cooking when absolutely overboard on the garlic and we could not even enjoy the pizza. Disappointed and tired I went to bed and called today to try to resolve the issue - again, we loved the pizza from this place and would have liked to continue ordering from there in the future. I called to ask for a refund and the “manager” on the phone told me since I did not call the day of there was no way for him to do that so I asked for a credit towards a future meal and he also said no as “people do this all the time.” As we have no history of ever having called nor complained - since they track calls via caller ID - I was very upset and told him this is not proper customer service. We said we had ordered this meal before and it had come out well but this time it didn’t hit the mark and he said “you only ordered twice before.” I’m not sure what kind of business Paisano is running here at the Annandale location but this behavior is completely unprofessional. This gentleman was shouting over the phone and called me a liar and a person with no integrity since I asked for a refund the next day. This review is from 5/27/20 at 7:30 PM - whoever the manager was during this time frame that has been working there for “a year” should not hold such a position. This person should not be representing the business. I’ve never had such a terrible customer service experience in my life. After much back and forth (10 minute conversation), he decided to give my phone number a credit - as I don’t want my food spit on, Paisano’s can keep...
Read moreI get Paisano’s almost weekly, and when I don’t get it, I miss it!! They have the best crust I’ve ever had. I know people get into fights over what the best pizza crust should be, but my vote is Paisano’s NY style crust (and yes, I’ve lived in New Haven and had Pepe’s and Sally’s and Pete's and every national brand that exists, from Pizza Hut to Papa John’s). Hands down, I will always choose Paisano’s. Their sauce is delicious, the toppings are super fresh, and they still offer anchovies for when I want them! The calzones and strombolis are just as good! And though I swore I’d never try pasta at a pizza place (after some awful experiences at OTHER places that have no idea what “Al dente” means) - I cautiously tried their Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken - outstanding! And their spaghetti with meatballs - my 1/2 Italian ex-husband’s is only slightly better (and his are worth marrying for). I haven’t had everything they offer (yet), but I have never had anything that was not outstanding. And that’s just the food!! I started to form the habit of dropping by for curbside pizza or calzone on Wednesdays, and in no time flat I was a regular, greeted with smiles and waving. Giovanni and his team really make me feel welcome, my order always comes out fast, piping hot, and smelling divine, and I look forward to my weekly trips to my favorite ever pizza place! (This is the Little River Turnpike Paisano's in Annandale.). Seriously - I can't recommend it highly enough. Go,...
