My recent visit to Pharaoh's Cafe in Sterling, VA, left me thoroughly disappointed and dissatisfied.
From the moment I stepped into the cafe, I was greeted with an unwelcoming atmosphere. The interior looked like it was falling apart, and the overall cleanliness of the place was terrible. It was evident that the establishment did not prioritize maintaining a pleasant environment.
The service at Pharaoh's Cafe was equally disappointing. The staff appeared disinterested and inattentive. It took an unacceptable amount of time to receive our orders, and when they finally arrived, they were incorrect and poorly prepared. The Hookah that was prepared for us was ok but not special and not worth the $20 asking price. The food was lackluster and for the price, with ingredients seemed like it was the bare minimum.
To add an insult to injury, when I check-in to the location, I had an option for a free drink and they REFUSED to take it. That was unacceptable.
Overall, my visit to Pharaoh's Cafe was terrible for a hookah bar and missed all the markers that make a hookah bar a great experience. It left much to be desired, and I WOULD NOT recommend this...

However, I remember Pharoah cafe being lit on weekends years ago. They would have a belly dancer and a dj and the place would be crowded. The milkshakes were also really good. Now it felt like I was in one of those movie scenes where a young person walks into a bar and there’s 3 old regulars staring at you like “is she lost?” It was nearly empty. The people there were old, on their phones or playing cards, and the music was definitely catered to that age. If you’re older and that’s the kind of vibe you’re going for, this is for you. If you’re under 30 or even 40, looking for a clubby/loungey type vibe,...
