Roy Rogers has long been a go-to for satisfying, hearty fast food, but their Double R Burger and Onion Rings elevate the fast-casual experience to a level of surprising excellence. Every bite is a testament to how a well-executed, no-frills burger can hit all the right notes of indulgence and comfort.
The Double R Burger is a masterclass in balance. The two perfectly seared beef patties offer a juicy, smoky richness, complemented by the melt-in-your-mouth softness of the fresh, toasted bun. The fresh lettuce, tomato, and onions add a refreshing crunch, while the special sauce ties everything together with a creamy, tangy kick that doesn’t overpower the flavors but enhances them beautifully. This burger isn’t just filling – it’s genuinely satisfying, offering that nostalgic yet refined fast-food experience we all crave.
What truly sets this meal apart, however, are the onion rings. Crisp and golden, these rings are everything you want in an onion ring: perfectly battered, not greasy, and with a delicate sweetness from the onions that shines through each bite. The batter is light yet substantial enough to provide a satisfying crunch with every bite, and they pair effortlessly with the burger or stand on their own as a delicious snack. Dipping them into the signature sauce only adds to the flavor experience.
Roy Rogers has managed to elevate fast food without overcomplicating it. The Double R Burger and Onion Rings combination offers a nostalgic taste of simplicity executed with care. It’s comfort food at its finest – hearty, delicious, and consistently dependable.
If you’re looking for a quick yet gratifying meal, Roy Rogers delivers a taste of satisfaction that rivals the best in the industry. Every bite leaves you thinking: this is how it...
Read moreI absolutely love, LOVE Roy's, I really do but this location is terrible.
District/territory/regional manager, whatever you guys call yourselves for this company please visit this location and provide some additional training to ALL employees.
The drive-thru in particular is impossibly inefficient and slow compared to your other locations. Waiting for 10 to 15 minutes to even get to the window is beyond absurd. Multiple times I've had to bail out of the line and I've seen others do it as well. When you do get to the window your food is usually cold because it's been sitting there for so long. It's so bad that even when I'm not crunched for time I contemplate going elsewhere which is sad because NO ONE has better fried chicken and no other fast food restaurant has better breakfast.
As for the employees? Why would you ever hand a customer a drink that's not full or give no napkins? Don't you think it's a good idea to ask if someone wants sauce, ketchup, or a fixings cup? It would be nice to get a thank you or something along those lines. In general, I found some of the employees to not be that friendly. There's a particular employee who leaves their mic on while they're talking to other employees or customers so you have no idea if they are talking to you or not.
Again, this is not a review for just one visit, this has been an ongoing issue at this location since it opened.
Please fix this. Please. You're...
Read moreThis Roy Rogers is a good one. This was my second visit. I arrived at around 2:15 on a Friday afternoon. I assumed that it wouldn't be very crowded, since it was late for lunch and too early for dinner. But it was almost full of people. In spite of the line, the hostess taking orders was friendly and efficient. The manager was working as hard as all the other workers and food orders were being filled quickly. The customers all seemed happy.
One of my favorite features of the Roy Rogers chain is the fixin's bar. It was filled and the toppings all looked fresh. The bar was clean and had plenty of napkins, salt and pepper packets, and containers for sauces for to go orders.
I had a regular roast beef sandwich and fries. They have a varied menu, but their roast beef is second to none in fast food, so it's hard for me to order anything else. This isn't deli style, processed roast beef. It is sliced from a freshly cooked roast. Delicious! I like to add the horseradish sauce and Roy Rogers BBQ sauce to mine.
They also make an awesome milk shake from real milk and hand-scooped ice cream. It is thick and perfect.
The only thing wrong with this Roy Rogers is that it's too far from home for me to visit several...
