On Sunday afternoon about 3:30pm, My wife and I stopped in the Wawa on Lee Highway. We purchased two sandwiches for $6.00 and a coffee refill. I gave the clerk a $20 bill. We talked about the price of the coffee refill and dispensed the change in coins, but he failed to give me the $13.00 in currency. When we got back on Rt. 66 West, I realized that I did not get all of my correct back. I then called the store, spoke to a staff member who answered the telephone and shared my concerns. He put me on hold to check the register to verify my purchase. No problem... He found the purchase and saw what my change should have been. I requested that he wait until closing, check the Z tape and verify that the register was over by $13.00 and call me back or leave a message. Well, the young man never called me back. As a result, I called the Wawa store about 8:00 am the following Tuesday morning. I guess the manager answered. She stated that she never heard any thing about the issue. I said “ Okay... thank you”. I was a little shocked at her response. She didn’t say “I will look into it for you . I will follow up on this concern” She simply said “ Have a good day”. Wow!!! Thank God it was only $13.00 and not $113.00. Lesson learn... Hold up the line if you have to, but take the time to carefully count your change before walking away at the Lee Highway WAWA in Gainesville. My opinion is that “They don’t really care about about you as...
Read moreFor some reason every time I come to this wall box, I’m disappointed weather is that a manager at night giving attitude.. or them not taking responsibility for screwing someone’s order up or failing to make breakfast sandwiches at a decent breakfast hour… I have gone to several Wawa’s and most of them make them at 5:30 the ones that do not make them 5:30 at least offer to make them for you individually if you ask for them… this Wawa’s does not do that… multiple times I’ve stepped into the store and overheard people in the back arguing with each other, yelling at each other, or talking about their personal lives instead of working… I understand that you’re at work with other people when you’d like to talk to them but that should be done after your work is done.,, not wall customers are waiting for food.. unfortunately breakfast hours are not the same at this particular location depending on who’s working… very disappointed and hungry. Going to work. Thank you Wawa’s for giving me a horrible day…. Once again they don’t fail to disappoint. They still really really don’t know how to do anything so pizzas aren’t offered at 11 o’clock at night. They start at 4 o’clock, but they’re not offered at 11 o’clock at night. Not sure what time they stop making them but they don’t offer them…. so I guess when it comes to this particular Wawa’s it’s do whatever they want whenever they want. Don’t follow any advertisement...
Read moreI've stopped at this Wawa many times late at night on my way home after a concert at Jiffy Lube Live, and their subs are unbelievably good. That applies to Wawa in general, but this location in particular has been consistently great. They're honestly some of the best hoagies I've ever had, and I've tried lots of varieties over the past few years. The classic Italian is my favorite, and it's perfect every time. The veggies are always crisp and fresh, the meat is flavorful, and the bread is nice and soft. I would advise avoiding the club sandwiches, which have way too much bread and are pretty bland, but hey, not everything on the menu can be great. Their smoothies are fantastic, though, whether you get a classic strawberry banana or something more unique like the seasonal maple flavor. Oh, and the bathrooms are always nice and clean, and the staff is pretty friendly too. I absolutely love Wawa, and this location has been a part of lots of great memories over the years. I can't wait for my next delicious hoagie when I'm in...
