Where to start??? I always enjoy Starbucks coffee specially traveling nationwide due to my business. I could easily say I probably spend over $4K at Starbucks annually including products, gift cards beside my tall pike 2-3 times a day. But today was NOT cool.... I bought a Komodo Dragon got it paper filtered so I can have Starbucks coffee when there is no Starbucks coffee shop near where I am staying. I like making my coffee when I am staying in the hotels during my travel. After my purchase I went to home brewed a coffee to try this new coffee and unfortunately it tasted really bad and gave me stomach issue all night.
In the morning on my way to work I decided to stop by for my morning coffee and let them know the coffee I purchased was awful. Not to mention now I know the baristas are clueless about coffee flavors. The first two barista described the coffee different when I purchased it. So I asked one of the staff if I could return or exchange with something else? Manager Sandra came to help me out described the coffee completely different than the other two staff. Anyways, when I picked up Pike place she told me I would have to purchase it or exchange my dragon komodo with another dragon comodo. Why would I do that? At this time I don't really have a time to argue over lousy coffee. So I decided to put it in trash. When I turn my back to order my coffee she already moved on to do something else. I had to ask loud 3 times if I could get a tall pike. That's not how you would treat a customer. This helped me realize maybe it's time forme to move on and look in to a new coffee. Maybe it's time to save money....

Long story short, I ordered an Iced Matcha Latte thru mobile app today near my work, which was next door. I walked in to pick up my drink, they gave me a hot drink which I ordered an iced drink. I told them I ordered an iced drink, one of the staff took the drink back and told me I had to pay $0.21 extra for an iced drink. Bc I was in a rush and it was near by so I didn’t bring my wallet neither my phone but I had my work phone with me. I told him I didn’t have my wallet with me, he said then download the app. I said the phone that I had wasn’t mine so I can’t do it. I was happy and didn’t mind to pay extra but I didn’t have my wallet with me. He insisted to have me pay $0.21 in order to correct my drink. One of a nice customer there was willing to give him $0.21 for me which I was very appreciate that. After he corrected my drink in the system but there was nobody proceeded to make my drink. I had waited more than 5 mins for them to correct my drink, and other people ordered after me already got their drinks.
The bottle line is usually if Starbucks make a mistake of a customer drink they will correct it right away and may not need for customer to pay extra. This is ridiculous for having me to pay extra $0.21. Well I am your loyalty customer there and I don’t think I will...
Read moreA couple experiences, but in short I overall think Starbucks is overpriced and overrated. Local coffee shops in my experience are almost always cheaper and taste a thousand times better! But I understand the convenience of a Starbucks with drive thru, as local businesses don't have that.
I have been told they can't make an ICED London Fog (tea) latte because "it requires brewing the tea beforehand and isn't a pump/syrup like the chai and black teas". As a tea person, the entire point is to get brewed tea! I don't want a syrup. I told them it was on their website but they still refused to make it. I called the 1-800 number and made a complaint. I tried to get this same drink a few days later and they actually made it, although questioned if I had it before. Next time they refuse to make it again, at least now I can say they've made it before very successfully!
Most recently, I ordered an iced chai latte. I watched the car in front of me hand the drink back to them (appeared to be my chai) and they gave her a different one, much darker. I was late for work and didn't have time to question it, but I'm really hoping they made a new one and didn't just give me the same one the previous customer drank out of (straw was in it when it was handed back)! Just be cautious of them. The person working drive thru wasn't very customer...
