Visiting Kolbeh was an absolute delight and a true immersion into the flavors of Turkish cuisine. One of the highlights of my meal was undoubtedly the Eskandar Kabob. The dish was masterfully prepared with tender, flavorful meat that was perfectly seasoned, resting on a bed of fluffy, buttery rice. The sauce drizzled on top was rich and complemented the meat beautifully, enhancing the overall taste without overpowering it.

Alongside the kabob, I had the pleasure of exploring their tasting tray, which was an excellent introduction to a variety of traditional Turkish appetizers. Each component of the tray was delicious, but the stuffed grape leaves and creamy hummus stood out as favorites. These dishes were authentic, packed with flavor, and made for a great start to the meal.

Kolbeh’s bread deserves a special mention—freshly baked, warm, with a perfect crust that was ideal for scooping up the last traces of sauce from the plate. It’s rare to find bread this good outside of Turkey itself!

The atmosphere of Kolbeh added to the dining experience. The decor strikes a lovely balance between traditional Turkish style and contemporary chic, creating a warm, inviting environment. The staff was friendly and efficient, providing excellent service without being intrusive.

For anyone in search of genuine Turkish cuisine, Kolbeh is a must-visit. It’s not just dining; it’s an experience that transports you straight to Turkey with every bite. Whether you’re a kabob aficionado or just someone who appreciates great bread and an array of tasty appetizers, Kolbeh will not disappoint. Highly recommended for a culinary journey that’s both authentic and...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kolbeh, a fantastic Turkish restaurant in the Fairfax area, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. I was on a tight schedule, but Kolbeh exceeded my expectations with its exceptional food and efficient service.

From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff, instantly making me feel welcome. The ambiance of the restaurant is inviting, with a cozy and authentic Turkish touch that transports you straight to Istanbul.

Their menu offers a delightful selection of Turkish dishes, but what truly stood out was their Turkish breakfast—a feast of fresh, high-quality ingredients that showcase the rich flavors of traditional Turkish cuisine. I opted for the full spread, including simit, menemen, olives, cheeses, and honey with clotted cream, and every bite was a delight. The balance of flavors, freshness of the ingredients, and authenticity of the dishes made it one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time.

Despite my limited time, the service was impeccable—fast yet attentive, allowing me to fully enjoy my meal without feeling rushed. The hospitality of the owner, Arash, was also remarkable; he truly cares about his guests and ensures they have a wonderful experience.

Kolbeh is a true gem for anyone looking for authentic Turkish cuisine in a warm and welcoming setting. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, this place delivers in every way. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to return to explore more of their menu!

Thank you, Kolbeh, for a memorable dining experience—I will...

We came here because of the high rating!!! Which is total fake..

I swear the food tastes horrible nothing is related to Turkish food not even close. We had: lentil soup 2/10 lahambulajeen 6/10 iskender 6/10 Adana Kabob 3/10 fries 2/10 (frozen not fresh)

Despite the tasteless food. The owner seems desperate to sell things out, waitress came to the table then he starts to offer things while the menu is in our hands and which seems very much for 2 adults and 3 kids (what her offered)!! He added 3 simit bread to the table and made us pay for, we did not finish even one. Same to water he was going to bring 3 bottles of water can you imagine that!!! 😂

When I asked for the check she came with the payment device then looked to her asking for the check again she did not liked it and he came running say is there any problem?! Yes buddy there was..

Bottom line I hate to write negative feedback but I find myself write one to make you avoid such a situation. Just stay away from this restaurant. Otherwise you will ended up paying 109$ for nothing

Update after the owner reply: Now guys you can see the mentality of the owner in his reply.

Dude do you want us to left the burned simit you served so you can serve it to other people!

Your empty restaurant is a prove to what I mentioned as I also mentioned earlier we came only because of the reviews but left with disappointment. We will not give fake comment to please you

We preferred to give some tip I wish we did not. You should pay your employees enough not waiting the customers to do so.

Finally, the mess we left!!! 😂😂😂 What a pathetic...

I visited Kolbeh , a great Turkish restaurant that truly delivers an authentic dining experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and the rich aroma of grilled meats and freshly baked bread. The ambiance was cozy and (you understand why it is called Kolbeh, meaning warm safe shelter) with traditional Turkish decoration and a touch of Anatolian music in the background, making the experience even more immersive. I ordered the Adana kebab, perfectly seasoned, juicy, and grilled. it had that slight smoky flavor that makes all the difference. The portion was generous, served with fluffy rice, grilled vegetables, and a side of fresh salad. And I ordered balloon bread, it was a bread that lived up to its fluffy name :) fresh squeezed watermelon juice with my meal. It was yummy! I also tried the lahmacun, and it was equally impressive. Thin, crispy, and topped with a flavorful mixture of minced meat, tomatoes, and herbs, it had the perfect balance of crunch and tenderness. Squeezing a bit of lemon on top and rolling it up with fresh salad elevated the taste even more. Service was excellent. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and happy to give recommendations. Prices were reasonable for the quality of food and portion sizes. Overall, Kolbeh is a really good craving authentic Turkish cuisine. Whether you’re a fan of grilled meats or traditional baked dishes, this place won’t disappoint. I’ll definitely be coming back.

This place is terrible with shady business practices! The food is not good. I tried both the chicken kebab and the beef and lamb kebab platter and both were super dry. Especially the beef and lamb, looked like it was cooked and recooked a thousands times ! Now, the worst part is the shady business practices. The hummus is supposed to come with bread when I ordered the hummus, the waitress asks me if I want bread with it... I said of course only to find out she charged me extra for some other type of bread.... Finally, when it's time to pay she just bring the terminal and ask me to tap my credit card, without seeing the amount or even an itemized bill of what I'm paying for. I'm telling her I'd like to see that before I pay to make sure this is all correct. And she said she can't until I input the tip... I press no tip because I want to find out what I'm paying for exactly. With the printed itemized check I realize that by default they added a 20% gratuity!! So it was all an elaborate ride to make sure customers don't know they are charged a gratuity already! And this was just for two people and it is never mentioned anywhere that it is their business practices. I will never go back to this place, the food is not good, prices are expensive but worse try to trick you into tipping above their mandatory 20% gratuity is what I can't forget. $71 for lunch is not worth it to me
