Starbucks — Restaurant in Virginia

I don't go to Starbucks on a regular, every day basis, but I do go now and again for a treat. I like the iced Matcha lattes. They have recently changed the brand, or type of Matcha they use. I'm not as happy with the new one as I was with the older one. The older one had a much stronger flavor of green tea than the new one has. Also, although I feel that all of the employees here are very good, they've managed to mess up a fair few of my drinks over the last few visits. The biggest issue I've had has been that I always order my Matcha lattes with very little ice. Since the product is already in the fridge, it's cold. I don't like a lot of ice in my drinks...I don't care to get brain freeze over a latte. If I wanted that I'd get a snow cone (insert smile here). That being said, for some reason and it could be their training, the baristas don't like to take out the ice. So I have gotten way too much ice in my lattes. Sounds like a non-issue, but when you're paying a premium for a drink (the venti is close to $5 there about) I feel like you should get excited what you want. Other than that this Starbucks is great. The couple of times I caught that there was too much ice, before I drove away, they fixed it no problem. The baristas are great and always very professional and helpful. I do recommend...

UPDATE 9-14-24 Mobie order... I ordered nondairy because I can't have dairy in big amounts it makes me sick and my sugar will sky rocket. I thought my nondairy drink was a little off but I thought it was because I haven't had it in a long time. When I get halfway finished I feel funny and my eyes are starting to cross check my sugar and it's at 300 🤦‍♂️ guess I better fine a ride to the hospital. When someone orders some WITHOUT dairy products normally it's because they can NOT have it.

UPDATE: Thought I would give them another try. I'm also trying a new drink. I asked the man in the driveway has he ever tried it. He said that's the one he likes and it really is good and made the right way. Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade I will be back to get another. Went from 1 star to 4 stars.

Made my drink with nasty coconut milk and would not remake it. I also asked for a sip kid he told me they didn't have any and there was 20 or more in...

Starbucks is basically Starbucks. But this was a poor and frustrating experience. I stopped in for a large Cap and a pastry. The pastry case had about 20 different pastry items displayed. I asked for one of my favorites but was told they were out ... even though I was actually looking at the one in the display case. I chose another and was told they were out -- again making my selection from what was in the display case. So I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and was told they only had cinnamon raisin bagels. No "Sold Out" signs anywhere. I felt betrayed. I asked the clerk why they displayed so many pastries that were not for sale. She just replied, "we're out of the pastries for sale." This is like Subway being out of mayonnaise, or McDonald's being out of fries. What?!? I canceled my order and walked out, smh, and am writing this from a competing, local coffee shop. They aren't out of anything...
