I've been going to this particular Taco Bell for a long time now and I order from there at least once a week. But it is getting worse and worse and I have made the determination that I just can't do business there anymore.
I always order ahead of time and do 'pickup'. However, there have been numerous issues with this, namely, that when I get there, my food either isn't ready, they can't seem to find the order or I can literally see it, but have to wait for someone to actually acknowledge me. For whatever reason, they have the drive-thru operator also manning the front counter. There is literally no logic in that. Second, WHY HAVE THE PICKUP SHELVES IF THEY AREN'T GOING TO BE USED ANYMORE. GET RID OF THEM. Or better yet, do what Little Caesar's did. When a person places a mobile order for pickup, send them a 3 digit numerical code. Have locked shelves where the order is placed and kept warm. Then the customer inputs the code, the door opens for the shelf containing their order, then they can grab it and leave, no employee interaction necessary.
But the current method is just terrible. I ordered last night, the app said my order would be ready at 8:59PM. The lady working the drive thru asked my name, I told her, she said she couldn't find my order. I showed her the order on my taco bell app, including what items were in the order and the order number. And then nothing, I just stood there and waited for an additional 20 minutes waiting until they finally gave me my food. This isn't a one off either. This is essentially the norm. You order ahead of time with the expectation that it will be ready by the time you arrive. You get there and either can't get your food because it's over by the drive thru window or they haven't made it or they gave it to someone else. And even if your order is there, you have to try to flag someone down or wait for them to actually acknowledge you are there before you can get your order.

Read moreI tried to place an order at this Taco Bell using the mobile app, because I had rewards that I wanted to redeem as they expire tonight and for some reason the mobile order wasn’t going through, it had nothing to do with payment method. It kept giving me an error that the “store in my cart was unavailable”. The Taco Bell employees instead of helping me out as they visibly saw the error mesaage & that I was trying to place my order They told me there was nothing they can do because they got mobile orders “all day” & they cant do anything about mobile orders, even though it says you can order in store as well with rewards. And then they told me to go to another Taco Bell since “its just right down the street”….. Im not usually rude but the attitude & just lack of willing to try to check what the issue was, is what upset me. Im literally just someone is tired coming home from work and wants to pick up dinner before I head home to rest for the night. Their attitude was horrible. And what’s the point of having a mobile app if they can’t do anything about it in the store? I did end up going to another Taco Bell & the mobile order went through just fine and while it was only a slight inconvenience to drive further down the road when I could’ve just picked up my food at the Taco Bell closest to my house, their lack of customer service is The reason that made me post...

I ordered a chicken Chalupa meal w/ extra chicken, no cheese (none on hard taco either), add avocado ranch sauce. It was made with cheese & had no avocado ranch, which was an extra charge. I spoke to a manager, Julietta, over the phone who apologized profusely & told me to stop by to have my order remade. I was too far to drive back so I had to come another day. Well today was that day. I pull up to the speaker & say why I'm there. The man who answered kept cutting me off. I wanted to ensure my order was correct this time but he told me to pull around. When I got my order it was only the chicken Chalupas, no extra chicken and no added avocado ranch, the hard taco was also missing. I handed the bag back to the guy at the window & asked him to please add avocado ranch sauce. He says, "it comes with sour cream". I say, "I know, I paid for the added sauce yesterday" "I also want the extra chicken". He starts to state the note Julietta left doesn't mention another taco nor extra chicken. I said, "if u want me to pay for the extra chicken and taco that's no a problem". I catch him roll his eyes. I stop him before he swipes my card.
