I usually don't leave reviews but this place has messed up my experience too many times for me not to. The food is good (the only good thing about this place) but the service is what ruins everything. If you call to place an order, they tell you it'll be ready in 30 minutes, which in my opinion is a long time, but regardless you might as well arrive an hour later. Every single time I've ordered, I've arrived to the restaurant and the food isn't ready. To be honest, I don't even think they start on the food at all until you get there. The waitresses don't make anything better either. You come in and you don't get a hello or welcome so you just stand there looking stupid until somebody comes to help you. I came in this last time and I told the lady that I had a phone order and she didn't say a word to me, she just said something about my order to her coworker and they spoke amongst themselves and then walked away. I never even got an "okay, it'll be out in __ minutes". That is just frustrating. I tried to give this place a last chance but this last experience was horrible. I just left without getting my food and ordered from El Paraíso Restaurant on Hopkins. Much better service and they actually had my food ready as soon as I got there which only took 10 minutes. Whoever the owner is of this place really needs to do some customer service training for their staff and learn how to get orders out quicker or hire more kitchen staff. This place has potential but not if continues...
Read moreThis place has the most atrocious customer service I've experienced. My wife and I waited for more than 10 minutes before being served, and it was more than one hour before the foods got to the table. This place is busy, but there is no excuse that people came after us got the food, ate, paid, and left before our food got to us. The waitress didn't even give us the silverware when she served the food so we had to ask for them. My wife asked for salsa that was missing from her meal, and it also took the waitress a long time to get for her. And when my wife asked again for two cups of water which the waitress didn't give us in the first place, the waitress rolled her eyes at my wife. Those two cups of water never came to us. During all this time we have been polite, so this display of attitude was as unprofessional as it was uncalled for. Another customer witness everything and asked the waitress what she was doing, which she rudely responded: "What is it that she wants?" What did my wife want? Two cups of waters that were never given to us for the entire 90 minutes when everyone else in the restaurant had it.
It didn't get better when I tried to pay and leave. It was disorganized and people who were picking up their orders just cut in and paid. The food was decent, but I refuse to go back to the restaurant after being treated this way. The owner should do something about this, as this is definitely not the way to treat...
Read moreFood and service was excellent. I knew the quality was going to be good as my father and I were the only white people there and the place was packed! Seriously good quality food tucked away in little shack. Do yourself a flavor and come in here and check it out. I had the three tacos (carne asada, tripe, and tongue). My father had the fajitas with chicken steak and shrimp. We were both completely satisfied with our meals and will be returning.
Edit: I have returned, and this place will keep its five star review. Be warned though, there will be a slight language barrier, and it does take a while for the food to come, but it is...
