Taqueria Jasmine — Restaurant in Virginia

Okay, welp this is a new thing I've come across in all my years of getting delivery. This place has incredible Mexican food; I always get the tacos (I've tried all of them) and they are spot on! The meat is usually Crispy, juicy, and very well seasoned.

However, tonight I am.... quite ticked off. I ordered my food, 4 tacos and 1 burrito meal, at 6:30 using their online ordering service. Granted, it's a very off the wall delivery website and I don't know why they don't use Doordash or something. At 7:30 , we called them and oh ho ho... We were told the did indeed get our order so that wasn't the problem. The problem was the, what we assumed to be the delivery driver, was "refusing to leave/deliver our food."

When we ordered, two orders came in, one from us and one from someone else. The someone else canceled theirs. So when we called, we were told our order was done and has been done. However, the delivery driver was refusing to leave, saying she wanted to wait until another order came in to then deliver our food together.

The website charges us delivery fees to pay for your gas, and on top of that we paid a 15% tip... This is ridiculous!!! You are literally foregoing the freshness of our meal so assumingly, you save gas. Even though we are 3 minutes (5 minutes with traffic) down the street. Why else would you hold our food hostage and quite earnestly, our money, while you wait for more deliveries. It's frickin' 8PM now! So assuming the food took 30 minutes to cook, it's been sitting there for an hour?! That's unacceptable!

Just so you know, my husband and I just ordered McDonald's with DoorDash. Shall we see who gets here first?

Oh, and I will update when you get here and how cold the food will be. If it is cold and doesn't taste fresh, I'm leaving a 1 star.

UPDATE: They dropped off the food at 8:10 and it was indeed cold. But because you got here before DoorDash, I'll keep the review at 2 stars....

THE ONLY REASON I EVEN COME HERE IS BECAUSE OF THE FOOD. THEY HAVE CHARGED ME ON MY BILL FOR 20% TIP WHEN I HAD ALREADY LEFT CASH TIP CHECK YOUR RECIPE!!!! THAT WAS THAT TIME NEXT TIME THEY DIDN’T PUT 4 ITEMS IN OUR TO GO ORDER 4 we got all the way home called them back I asked for the owners name and number so we could go back to collect our money back without any problems and I was talking to the owner at the time but he didn’t feel like letting me know and he started to be aggressive and proceeded to yell that they don’t provide gift cards when I never asked for one all I wanted was the owners name and number so I can get my money back without issue YOU CAN NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS THEY WILL OVER CHARGE YOU! THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU YOUR COMPLETE ODER AND STEAL YOUR MONEY IT WAS TRULY Embarrassing for the owner to act in such a disgusting manner yelling at me in Spanish that they don’t provide gift cards when I never asked for one but as soon as my husband talk to him in English he talked to him with respect and without any ton in his voice he was very disturbing and disrespectful to females and was A coward by not letting anyone one know he was...

My fiance, his sister and I ate their last night and we all ate the chicken. Within 30 minutes of leaving there we got sick, violently sick. We called to let them know so nobody else got sick. They did not seem to care what so ever. They told me they were closed , I called at 9:15 P.M. , they don't close until 9:30 P.M. They did not wanna hear anything from us, nor did they seem to really care. I received a call this morning from the owner's daughter, she apologized but only really seemed to say they have insurance, repetitively as if that's all she wanted me to know. As well as it was weird nobody else got sick like we were lying. I mentioned a refund and she said she didn't know if they could, which is outrageous. As if that wasn't just the icing on the cake, she also had said that the waitresses had complained about someone not wanting to pay their bill and it made them angry, I knew they were speaking of us. That was COMPLETELY UNTRUE. We were just shocked about the total a little , but it was correct. We paid with no problem. I will never go back. This was the worst experience I have EVER had...
