Stopped here for dinner while passing through town. Portions were plentiful, although almost $19.00 for two platters of chopped pork, baked beans and two cups of Brunswick stew seemed a bit high. We expected more like $14, but we had substitutions, so maybe that was it. The staff seemed friendly and helpful, and even offered us a taste to make sure we'd like it before ordering. This is vinegar based bbq which is not normally my preference, but I enjoyed my meal very much. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean, and the service was very good. The owner is a jerk. I went in and placed an order and went to pay with my credit card. In front of the entire place he asked “ don’t you have any money?” He said he prefers cash. When I get all the way home in Forest with my food, half of it is missing. I call and started to explain and he yelled over me “we close at 3” and then proceeded to hang up in my face. Super sub par overall Owner political and said some crazy stuff before we even paid - super unprofessional

Plain dry meat - no sauce at all and none offered other than some unmarked mystery bottle stuff from who knows where

Red coleslaw tasted like cocktail sauce when cabbage - gross

Decor ? This place needs a serious face lift in a big way.
