Tiger Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Virginia

My family dined here after reading some other reviews and decided to take a chance. We were so delighted that we gave Tiger Thai a chance. The waitress who I believe may have been one of the owners was very friendly and accommodating. We had a 3 year old and she played with him and ensured he was happy. Our food was hot and fresh. I have tried many Thai restaurants in the area, but Tiger Thai is truly a gem. My daughter had the wonton soup and the shrimp rolls. She loved them! My mother had the pineapple fried rice and the portion was very large. It was seasoned perfectly and had a lot of chicken and shrimp. My sister had a ginger stir fry dish with shrimp and that was also fresh and delicious. The shrimp were a nice size and there were a rainbow of vegetables. I had the pineapple curry dish with chicken and was happy that fresh pineapple was used. The curry was smooth and rich with just enough spice. Pre-Covid I use to love their house fried rice. It use to be the only thing I would eat when I was pregnant. I went there today and young man was bagging up my food had no mask on. One of the CDC requirements for food service is to wear a mask while cooking and wear gloves and mask while boxing up food. This young man had on neither. I could have gotten pass the no gloves but not the no mask. I asked him do they where mask when they cooked he said yes. I asked him then where is his he had to unzip his pockets then pull it out because it was stuffed into his pocket. This indicated to me he didn’t have on a mask while he was cooking. The noodles were very soggy and the sauce on it was off. Leaving review because although I stated something was off in the dish and that I did not like it. I sampled a noodle and instantly couldn’t finish it. Owner stated that she felt it was normal like as if she was eating it. I was still forced to pay for the dish with a $3 deduction off. I have been going here over 2 years so was not trying to get anything free for I always enjoyed the food up until today. I’m heavy on customer service she did not offer to recook it.
