Vocelli Pizza — Restaurant in Virginia

We've been ordering ever since we moved to their delivery area five years ago. In that time we've ordered - literally - hundreds of times from this store, usually having a pizza night every week. Sadly, it isn't what it used to be. The staff is often rude, the deliveries take longer, mistakes are common and never addressed/corrected by management or the owner, and the quality has dropped significantly. As a restaurant operator I am shocked at how little respect they give their customers. This is the only place I've ever known to deliver a pizza to the wrong place and make no effort to do anything about it despite several phone calls; they didn't even offer a refund until I explained it was the absolute least they could do. Most recently I was told you can't pick up during business hours because they have to clean. Without a dining room this is both puzzling and concerning. Are they using chemicals to clean their prep area as they make pizzas for delivery? Will your food have sanitizer or some other contaminant in it? How can this possibly impact the ability to pick up a pizza? When I asked why I couldn't, I was told "Domino's does the same thing" in a huffy tone. Couple this level of service with food being dropped and then served (which was caught on video) along with a high risk for contaminated food and I'll just order from another place from now on. If they are trying to be like Domino's, just order that instead and get what Vocellis apparently wants to be like as a pizza parlor - to be the worst...

Ikyk!! Found this lil spot by chance, they seem to stay busy, which is always good. We have eaten here 4/5 times and the food has always been fantastic!! As someone extremely (not Karen) picky about their food, this place hits the mark for me. I have yet to try the pizza but it certainly smells amazing!! We have had pasta and garlic bread this far, and no complaints. My daughter loves pesto, and their creamy pesto is perfect. The portions are absolutely worth it, as you come away full, and maybe with leftovers. I enjoy their Alfredo very much and usually add mushrooms and spinach. Almost as if I made it myself!! So honestly, if you want some really good food, definitely hit this spot!! No dine in, but they do delivery (themselves!!) and you can pick up as well. They are also available on delivery apps as well. But I highly suggest picking up yourself. The owner is a very nice guy, and pleasant to deal with. I'm picky y'all, if I say it's good, don't doubt me, go try it yourself!!! Thank me later. 😎 Will definitely be trying more items in...

This review isn’t about the quality of their food (which I’m sure is great), but about the quality of their employees. I was there a few weeks ago picking up food for my boyfriend and his buddies when I had a very uncomfortable encounter with some random old man in the parking lot and it made me extremely uneasy to be walking around alone. Long story short, after getting my food I was uncomfortable walking back to my car by myself and asked one of the Vocelli pizza employees to keep an eye on me while I walk back to my car because of the interaction I had before coming into their restaurant. I’m not sure of his name, but the employee I asked dropped everything he was doing and walked me to my car and waited until I got inside before going back to work. I really appreciated his willingness to go above and beyond and I will absolutely remember this kindness when deciding where we should order pizza moving forward.
