Waffle House — Restaurant in Virginia

Well when I walked in I was greeted very nicely by the staff. I went to the restroom to use it and noticed that it was very how you say needs to be worked on. The sink as well as the toilet was very grungy. It was stocked I did not like also that there was no paper towels and the and dryer did not work. When my waitress came up to the booth that I was sitting in. She asked do what would I like to drink and do I need a menu. I ordered my food and drink. It was prepared very well. I don't know if the waitress that was serving me at the time was being pushy or being nice by asking me is everything okay. I'm not too sure saying that most of my experiences with servers and all restaurants that I've gone to have only ever really touched bases on the time that I've been there. They only touched base about three times at the beginning when I sat down when I was eating to check up on me and at the end when they are collecting the money for the check. The place outside us look clean I was also very concerned because of my visit a cop happened to come in not looking to eat by the way looking to do something. All right that's my experience at waffle House thank you...

8-1-22 This location seemed to be really slow during our afternoon visit around 7pm. Nobody was inside when we arrived, however, it was a Monday. The waitress/waiter were nice and seemed new. The cook was also nice and also seemed new.

We ordered for 3 adults (basic eggs, hash browns, and waffles for all except I got a patty melt) and a 5 year old. Our order was delivered by 3 people, the chef, the waitress, and a waiter. Our order came in the expected amount of time (approx 15 min) for being the only people inside. My hash brown order "double" and "all-the-way" was wrong (came regular and plain) so they offered to remake them (additional 15 min wait) and they came again without any gravy and seemed like a 1.5x order not a double order. Anyways, I didn't ask about it but there was a covid statement on the menu about food availability.... The rest of the food was of expected quality and accurate. The tea was also fresh!

This location was clean (expected due to being the only diners that evening). This location only offers plasticware now. The waitress could have checked on us more often as we all ran out of drink and had to ask for refills and to-go...

Only giving 1 star because I have to! I sat in front of the cooks and observed 2 male cooks do some very disturbing and unsanitary things. Yes, they did have gloves on BUT they repeatedly picked up raw meat (it looked like steak) and raw bacon with their hands then with the same contaminated gloves began touching everything else, like the the handles of the cooking pans, customer's plates, and even their food! Yes, I saw the guy touch already cooked bacon with the same gloves on while putting it on a customers plate and even saw him put his fingers in someone's scrambled eggs! I also saw them placing raw bacon on top of the table directly in front of the grill and they even placed some raw bacon on top of a dirty towel then they cooked that same bacon! Mind you the same table directly in front of the grill where they lay the raw bacon, I also saw them put someone's bread there and it wasn't on a plate. I lost my appetite and called corporate about this immediately. Again not once did these cooks change their gloves. Just disgusting!!!!...
